this isn't too early. haren's value will never be higher than it is right now (actually, it probably was at the all-star break but that's beside the point). -

doesn't matter how many times they score, it lasts 5 minutes. much less confusing.

looking at the box score, the first penalty was a double minor. what happens there is that if a goal is scored in the first two minutes of a 4 minute penalty, then the guy stays in the box but there are then only 2 minutes left on the PP. since his was the first penalty of the 5-on-3, he stayed in the box since there was still about 3 minutes left on his penalty. kind of confusing.

LoDuca is a free agent, and the Mets have been trying everything they can to not sign him. he's too white.

which is a terrible idea. his bat doesn't play in right. he's the best MIF on the cubs, and none of the options they're considering are better than him.

so ilya bryzgalov was waived today. odd move. he probably won't get past phoenix, but i hope he drops to LA. those are the best two candidates to get him IMO.

Either LA team has prospects to hand 3b over to. Only reason they were in on ARod and are in on Miggy is because those guys are super (duper) stars. They'd be [expletive] to block them for Rolen. the dodgers are [expletive] though. i could see them doing this. Colletti is [expletive], but I can't see him being that [expletive]. seriously? they re-signed nomar (bad idea), signed luis gonzalez (bad idea), signed juan pierre (horrible idea), and are seriously considering trading kemp and loney in favor of more over the hill veterans. i could totally see him doing this.
