  1. here and the movie thread (although not so much lately since winter (well, jan-feb) and spring suuuuccckkkk for movies.
  2. Holt is likely in goal for St. Lou.... basically another no name, like Jonathan Quick. I swear if he plays like Roy, like most no names like to do against us, I'm going to break things. jonathan quick has been spittin' hot fire since he got called up though. it isn't just against the hawks. holt was pretty amazing in the AHL though.
  3. because Deadmarsh scored the most important goal of my life as a kings fan (which started around 96 or 97). so he gets the edge over lapointe by a slim margin. wait i mean these numbers are not biased, it is factoring in his PCACEI (potential career after career ending injury) which is through the roof.
  4. i don't think they really care if we insult meph. unless tim is reading. he might. RAN for the best forward of all time, Adam Deadmarsh: 1.228. goalies named daren puppa are much more valuable than forwards in my calculations.
  5. You mean you don't know the sabremetrics of hockey? IGNORED. well you see martin brodeur is clearly a bad goalie because i say so and will not expound on this point, exposing myself to lots of criticism because i prefer to make vague, outlandish statements rather than thought out posts that back up my point. I know he has 3 stanley cups...but wins and loses are not the best way to measure how good a team or a player is. Marty Brodeur's random Anze number is .722. Cristobal Huet's is .832 the best goalie of all time is actually daren puppa. what an underappreciated gem! I remember his daughter being named "Isabella Megan Puppa". What a horrible combo of names I think his daughters name probably gave him .5 in the Anze random number rating system .376
  6. 1.789, leading the way by a whopping .9 points.

  9. you should sig it. he probably has all of us on ignore anyway.
  10. Mike Green just tied the record for goals in consecutive games by a defenseman with his seventh. Not to brag or anything, but like a year and a few months ago I told everyone how much he was improving. IN FACT, I, internet sleuth, decided to see when I said it. November 30th, 2007. He only had 9 points at the time. I'm like the meph of hockey, except I don't suck.
  11. hahahahahahah Did you have Kerry Fraser? no, i didn't catch the guy's name. it was HORRIBLE, he freaking threw doughty to the ice with his free hand and the puck was right god damn there, a few feet away. they HAD to be watching. how both of them missed it is baffling.
  12. gonna pull a cynosure and complain about the refs for the habs/kings game. what a freaking joke. higgins is apparently allowed to throw players to the ice while they don't have the puck. god dammit.
  13. give steve mason the vezina or something
  14. that last call was one you can complain about. that was horrible. i think it was stoll going for it, he at least deserved embellishment to even it up if you were gonna call whoever got interference.
  15. no offense taken, hawks have dominated since the puck dropped in the 2nd.
  16. except for the complete whiff on the interference call, i can't remember anything really bad.
  17. oh you're stuck with ducks announcer? bryan hayward is the worst/most biased color commentator in sports.
  18. that's unfair. he also gets joy from making vague condescending posts. and final fantasy 7.
  19. why would you hate when they sing the canadian anthem in french in french canada?
  20. I agree. I've been on other teams boards and those teams fans have similar complaints then Cyno has with refs. So I agree, the NHL refs are without a doubt the worst refs is major sports, and I wish Betteman wouold get on the ball, and improve the quality of refs. NBA, College Basketball, College Football NFL refs and MLB Umps are bad as well. Yes, but NHL refs are by far the worst in Major Sports. i don't see how you could reasonably conclude this. then again, you're you.
  21. they fixed it now and i didn't get a screencap, FOR SHAME. it listed the all-star game final as 4-1. Carey Price scored 3 of the goals for the east, Luongo had the lone goal for the west.
  22. Carey Price is definitely living up to the hype.
  23. Completely disagree. Kane started it with an elbow then bailed and took a shot or two as he tried to get out of there. Disagree, the NHL teams have given Kane cheap shots when they can since he join the league. I do think Kane needs to grow up, but I don't blame him one bit if he feels frustrated that every team in every game takes their cheap shots at him. He needs to grow thicker skin, I know, but he also has to show he can't be bullied. So I don't have a problem with him throwing elbows. just play through it. if he reacts like that it just gives teams more incentive to keep doing it, because it takes him off of his game. all the teams are looking for is that reaction, and he's not showing that he can deal with physicality very well. the players don't care if he can be "bullied" or not, they're just trying to irritate him.
  24. you really have no way of knowing that whatsoever Judging from how he had knee injuries in the couple years leading up to his explosion I think it's a safe assumption. bonds's first knee injury was in 1999, which, according to Game of Shadows, was the year (or year before, i can't remember) he first used steroids. he also had a nasty elbow injury that year, but that didn't have anything to do with steroids, IIRC. unless you want to count a sprained knee in college or something.
  25. On a related note, it looks like Ray Emery is playing his way back into the NHL over there in Russia. Also, does anyone else think its insane that Sean Avery is basically kicked out of the NHL for the season because Morrow/Turco/Modano are a bunch of pansy pushovers who couldn't tell him to shutup in the locker room? Shanahan and Jagr could handle him fine. Same with the veterans in Detroit. I guess all the talk about Morrow being the greatest leader ever can be discounted. what suggests that the veterans in detroit liked him (besides Hull)? he got traded to the kings, after all. then he got run off the team there on two occasions. then, despite all of the success with him in the lineup and cap room coming off the books thanks to said veterans, he wasn't re-signed by the rangers. he's run out of the league because despite what veterans say to him, he doesn't listen. he puts himself ahead of the team and it cost him his job. i don't get any complaining about this. It's not about liking him, it is about being able to keep him from being a negative influence on the team. Overall, Avery helped more than he hurt in Detroit and NY. I'm sure he could be a positive influence in the right situation again. It's just if a team has no real veteran leaders with the balls to keep him in line, he becomes a locker room cancer. avery played half of 2 seasons in detroit and scored 15 points. i don't think he helped much there. ultimately he got run out of LA twice, where he may have been a good player, but was still a destructive influence. new york, he clearly helped the team on the ice but he still wasn't brought back. it's not surprising that he's been run out of ANOTHER city. why would anyone else take a chance on him, at that point? washington/boston starts in a few minutes, should be a great game.
