  1. Soriano's only hitting because the Astros apparently don't have or believe scouting reports. He still can't hit anything on the outside He never could. It's silly to act like teams are going to suddenly only pitch him outside when they could have done that all along. well...why aren't they? they haven't even tried to pitch him away all series despite the fact that all of the first three teams we faced got him out consistently on the same pitch. normally his hot streaks come when he starts laying off that pitch. he wasn't laying off it at any point so far this season. the astros are beyond dumb for pitching him inside so far in this series.
  2. hunter pence in this series is easily one of the four or five most patient hitters i've seen in my life
  3. soriano is going to burn the astros if they keep trying to pitch him inside at any rate, stupid baserunning by rammy there. not sure where he thinks he's going.
  4. lol @ "i maim" good recovery by dempster there.
  5. 2 more fantastic games. i didn't watch much of the buffalo/boston game but that seems like a pretty intense series too. also **** YEAH KOPITAR AND DOUGHTY AND JOHNSON WOOOOOOO
  6. irritating game. fukudome has looked bad for the last 3 or 4 games.
  7. well at least we have a reasonable shot in the 9th. good inning, now marshall needs to hold 'em. lindstrom isn't very good, i like our chances if we can hold it to a 1-run deficit.
  8. why in the world are the astros pitching soriano inside in this series?
  9. roy oswalt is one of the best pitchers of the last decade. hard to get too irritated about him shutting us down. if you looked at the matchups before the series, this was the throwaway game. and we're still not out of it by any stretch. hopefully they can make him work and make his next inning his last.
  10. It was a very good decision. yep. absolutely the right choice.
  11. lmao soriano. at least that didn't bite us.
  12. patterson and mcgriff are all i can think of. did edmonds get it? Rodriguez? Jones? Burnitz? forgot about jones. burnitz too. that would be 4.
  13. jr towles...somewhere, meph is smiling.
  14. patterson and mcgriff are all i can think of. did edmonds get it?
  15. And 2 to Kosuke. Remember the good old days when Fukodome was among the league leaders in pitches seen per plate appearance? If he hits .300+ I could careless how many pitches he sees. if he hits .300 and gets on at a .320 clip, i actually could care less about the amount of pitches he sees. my guess is that he's just trying to attack the first pitch strikes he sees. he's always done it, but it's magnified by the small sample early.
  16. thank god the wind's blowing in. lee crushed that.
  17. he's pretty awful over there. isn't he actually a decent defensive 3B?
  18. that second period of the detroit/phoenix game was out of control. when teams are playing like that, playoff hockey is better than playoff anything else. I am trying to not sound like a homer, but the coyote/wings series has been very entertaining hockey...traps be damned!!!!! I agree with Alex also, what a great night to watch 6 hours of playoff hockey action phx/det was the series i was most looking forward to (aside from kings), and it hasn't disappointed. the crowds were great too. not often that i look forward to afternoon hockey, but sunday's game should be pretty awesome.
  19. that was honestly one of the best days of hockey that i can remember. i watched at least a part of every single game and they were all fantastic, intense games. the hawks game was a little slow, but still was close. just a load of fun tonight. oh well, back to being nervous as hell. if randy jones plays tomorrow i might jump off a building.
  20. SUPERCOBS good come from behind win today, good for silva getting his first win.
  21. LMAO feliz astros showing why they're horrible right here. out-badding us right now
  22. When is the last time a Cubs catcher had a triple? koyie had 2 last year according to len and bob
  23. fukudome has been awful in the OF the last two games
  24. fontenot has made some nice really nice defensive plays this season
