  1. Well, there goes that, not that he really had a chance. Applause for Marquis so far. Get out of this, please.
  2. Who's the guy with the big inside corner? MVLEEE! He's on FIRE
  3. Marquis's looking good...too bad he's probably going to throw too many pitches to have a chance at finishing what he is currently doing to San Diego...
  4. That was an AWESOME game. 2004 was, by far, the most eventful season I've ever followed one of my teams through.
  5. Where do you live? If you live in the Cubs' market or the Padres' market, MLB.TV won't show the game. For instance, my home market blacks out the Cubs, White Sox, Reds and Tigers.
  6. Psh, Sammy and Alou. Ridiculously easy question. What a freakin finish to that game.
  7. I'm usually right on NSBB bandwagons (Murton, Theriot), but I've never understood the vitriol for the "LF/RF sucks" chants.
  8. BIG hit for Murt! And nice to see us staking Marquis to the early lead rather than vice versa.
  9. His PR people have been on overtime since he started plumetting in the mock drafts. The guy has been on everything in the past two weeks. It's seriously getting ridiculous. The irony is by the time he started whoring himself out, he'd worked his way back up into the top five in most of the mocks (thanks to his workouts). I'm not happy I missed it though...I always seem to miss when ND people do the stretch.
  10. That's odd. In 20 spins last night, I saw the Bulls winning the number 1 pick twice, the 2nd pick once, and the third pick once. Oden, Durant, Horford were the picks. Must just be luckier than you are. In all seriousness, I'll happily take a 4% change at Oden, and a top 10 pick in this stacked draft is very valuable. Bulls end up with Brandon Wright a lot in ESPN's mock, for instance. I'd be PSYCHED to get Brandan Wright. He's like a very slightly less athletic but more polished version of Tyrus Thomas. He'll be a very good pro.
  11. I've always maintained that Sammy, let's be honest, is not all that intelligent. If anyone was gonna get caught in my view, it would've been him. The fact that not even one single person has any kind of hard evidence against him is a very loud indicator in my opinion.
  12. I saw an astounding stat on Friday night - the Bulls are something like 27-4 at home against Eastern teams. That's straight-up domination.
  13. Well, HERE'S a little piece of wonderful: Somehow, my Yahoo password was changed without me knowing it, and my efforts to get a new one sent to me have been rebuffed by Yahoo. So the next time they ask me to sign in, I'm going to lose access to my team.
  14. When was that? If Stanton was ever the #1 QB in this class it's news to me and reason enough to stop paying attention to whatever source made that claim.
  15. No, praise him. We were BESIEGED by injuries in 2006 until Tree started an injury thread, and they leveled off after that.
  16. It still hurts. This one will always hurt. This guy was our Clemens and we broke him. Unreal. Wood was our Clemens. Prior was a better version of Maddux. Somehow we broke them both. :(
  17. I don't like thinking about these two anymore. When I imagine this year's team with Prior and Wood instead of Miller and Marquis, I want to break things. Or 05's team with a full year of Prior and Wood instead of Rusch/Williams/Mitre. Or 04's team with a full year of Prior and Wood instead of Rusch (admittedly good that season)/Mitre.
