  1. Blanco, Pagan and someone who can't hit lefties (since we don't have any who can on our bench).
  2. Fonz has also been on base in every game he's played in, although he missed a few. April 10th? Len lies then
  3. The ump's calling outside pitches for strikes for Maholm, and that's not helping matters.
  4. Fonz has also been on base in every game he's played in, although he missed a few.
  5. I believe it. Wild card, anyone? At this point I'd be absolutely jacked beyond belief to get a wildcard. Who'd have thought it'd be mid-May and Lilly, Hill and Marquis would all be dominating and Z would be worthless?
  6. 3 good pitchers. I definitely wouldn't call any of them HOF pitchers. I think Wood and Prior definitely had HOF potential. I don't think Zambrano was ever that good. I'll agree with Wood and Prior on potential. But even if they were healthy, they sure weren't locks. If I thought they were locks, I would have said surefire HOFers and not potential HOFers
  7. 3 good pitchers. I definitely wouldn't call any of them HOF pitchers. 18 wins, 2.40 ERA in his first big league season? 20 Ks in his 5th big league start? 4 successive seasons with sub-3.50 ERAs by age 26? I wouldn't say any of them were sure-fire, but they all had the potential.
  8. Figures. The most destructive coaching tenure in sports history happens to the Cubs. Has any manager been responsible for destroying 3 potential Hall of Famers before? And is this justification for every one of us to get a free punch at Dusty?
  9. This is utterly ridiculous. Score 1, give 2 back. Classic Cubs.
  10. On a somewhat routine grounder to short on the first pitch. :x
  11. meaning his game WHIP is a solid 3.00 Coming along nicely.
  12. Right after Dusty left so we can pretend it's not his fault
  13. We will win. Book it.
  14. Yeah, and Z is one of the 5's.
  15. I'm fine with this. Let's get Felix some ABs. Pagan can be the defensive replacement guy, and it's one less outfielder in the giant logjam out there.
  16. I say we throw him in, get Tejada. Hell, they can have Cedeno too, and we'll throw in a couple of burned-out minor league arms.
  17. Why not? All our other crap goes there.
