Why the Bulls do anything but clear out for Derrick Rose late in games when they're down single digits is befuddling to me. He was schooling Charlotte tonight in the 4th. Schooling them.

What in God's name are you possibly basing this on? The Cubs were worse than the Cardinals in 2009 and have gotten worse at baseball this offseason and one of their best players will miss a month to open 2010. I didn't think that was such a controversial statement. -
Notre Dame tried their damnedest to lose to South Florida tonight but managed to hold on because South Florida sucks and their inbounder whipped the ball into the crowd with 2 seconds to go down a point instead of on the basketball court. Harangody had 36 and 6.

I'm ok with this because frankly it's going to take a miracle for the Cubs to compete with STL in 2010 anyway, and once we have our ducks in a row again that contract won't look so good for the Cardinals.

I don't konw why, but I recall hearing it's not allowed. I'm quite sure the Cardinals fans in your office pulled this straight from their collective asses. I'll fully admit to pulling this out of my arse, but they could mean he gets part ownership after he retires, not as part of his current contract. Kind of a buy now pay later unwritten agreement thing. I doubt it's a possibility, but that's probably what they meant. This was a rumor during the Kobe talks and I believe it's not allowed, at least not in the NBA. I can't imagine it would be allowed in MLB either.

Well, if the Bears are stuck with Lovie another year, at least Cowher will still be out there. I know some of you (gooney) aren't going to be as happy about that as some. After John Fox bolts following the 2010 season, we get Cowher. STAY AWAY. :)

Jimmy Clausen having surgery tomorrow on torn toe ligaments that he played on all season - not turf toe as originally reported. Makes his eye-popping numbers more impressive in my opinion. He'll miss the combine.

I'm going to take all the home teams except Green Bay, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets beat Cincy as long as they don't let Sanchez screw up too much.

I just don't want Colts/Cowboys. Too many of my friends root for one of those teams. Anything else I'd enjoy. I think if anything I want Colts/Packers or Colts/Saints. Lots of points, hopefully.

The Panthers are the only team in the history of the league to have two 1,100-yard rushers this year and also went 8-8, so I guess you and I are kindred spirits in the 'insane rushing numbers with little to show for it' regard.

Notre Dame hung tough but lost to UConn. I was impressed with the effort but UConn's too big and too talented.

If Brennaman is calling the game you might be awakened by the first instance of fellatio being performed in front of a live national audience. I hate Fox doing these games so much. They haven't done a [expletive] college game all year, but suddenly show up for the biggest games of the year. I can't wait for this contract to expire Luckily for you, that's next year. The Orange Bowl is the last BCS game that Fox will do. ESPN broadcasts them all starting next year.

I've never done worse in bowl picks. 7-16. Seems like my worst years of bowl picks are the only years I happen to put money on it. My 2nd-highest confidence pick, WVU, lost and my fourth-highest one, Oregon, not looking so good either.

:thumbsup: I watched the Ball State/Purdue Wooden Tradition and could barely stand it - Purdue was absolutely creaming our guys every time we tried to do anything, and touch fouls were getting called at the other end. It's pretty easy to be 'aggressive' defensively when your strategy is the 'they can't call fouls every time down the floor' technique.

I hope the Panthers at least sent out some feelers to Cowher before making that decision.

You crowd of haters are the ones that apparently think that the fact that we think Meyer is a douche stems solely from his not coming to ND five years ago (even though he basically was all but signed at Florida by the time ND talked to him). There are thousands of fans that think Meyer is an ass, but if Notre Dame fans do it it's because of penis envy. Whatever.
