  1. Other than Chalmers, the Heat shot 10/14 from 3.
  2. He's listed in the probable starting lineup, not that that's binding.
  3. Well this is from his press conference today, so there ya go... Haha. I kind of wish he had finished that sentence the way he wanted to - with "the one I just came from".
  4. Polar opposite of the McDaniels hire, not sure if this will be more successful, though. Should be interesting to see if he goes with Tebow or Orton. Fox coached my team for nine seasons, and I'd say Option C is probably the most likely for him.
  5. And the 4th time during the same period that they beat a #1 team (I'm not sure who the other #1 team they beat was). Probably a UNC team. My gut said Maryland actually, not sure though.
  6. Hoke will do well at Michigan. Probably not well enough to satisfy the psycho portion of the fan base, but well.
  7. Hoke hired according to the official UM site. That was quick.
  8. The coaches are supposed to vote for the BCS title game winner, but this isn't the first time there's been a defection or two. I believe Boise State got a couple of rebel votes after the 06 season as well.
  9. Take FWIW, but John Walters says he has a reliable source saying that Floyd will declare today.
  10. And yet they'll still somehow finish ahead of us this year.
  11. Rivera's the guy I wanted during our coaching hire when we ultimately ended up hiring McCarthy. That was the year before the Bears reached the Super Bowl. Since then, he's really beefed up his resume. I'm not really sure who's a better candidate out there than Rivera, if you're going to go the coordinator route. You could certainly do a lot worse than him. I like Rivera, he's clearly the sensible hire, especially considering the organization is such a train wreck right now that a surefire #1 pick basically decided he'd rather be in college than play for us. I just won't really believe things will improve much until we get some smart front office people.
  12. I couldn't decide who to root for because I was annoyed that both these schools stumbled into good coaches. Chizik won 5 games in 2 years at his last stop and Chip Kelly had never done anything noteworthy in his life prior to getting the Oregon job. Seems like just dumb luck to me. And was I the only person that noticed a blatant delay of game before Newton's QB draw run on 3rd and 12 on the final drive??
  13. I got my hopes up. Well, that and we were 3/16 from 3 and Marquette was 12/17. Best of luck to them having that happen again ever in life. ND really needs to be able to win on the road consistently. I understand it's very hard to do in college hoops, but we in particular seem to have major issues with it.
  14. It's looking like Ron Rivera will be the new hire for the Panthers. Meh.
  15. Green or Bowers probably going to be the two options for Carolina at the top of the draft. The owner likes having choirboys on his team so Green's jersey-selling flap may or may not be enough to lock in Bowers.
  16. Deion said on NFLN that it was the best playoff run he'd ever seen.
  17. He jumped straight to the Super Bowl congratulations, actually.
  18. Notre Dame creams 3-0 St. John's without Carleton Scott. I'm not sure what this team's ceiling is but I'm enjoying the [expletive] out of it.
  19. Hoke would be a nice hire for Stanford, IMO. And he'd also allow Michigan fans to not be scared out of their minds that he'd be on the verge of coaching there.
  20. I've said repeatedly he's the single worst sports play by play announcer on national television (network or cable). It really isn't even remotely close. Luckily for NFL fans, they only have to put up with him for 1 game a year.
  21. yea, but a quarter of an inch the other way, and he would have missed completely Uh . . . yeah, of course. And that refutes my point how? you guys need to watch mighty ducks more I wanted to say something Charlie Conway-related about that comment but I didn't know if that was you were going for. Well done.
  22. Harbaugh to the 49ers for 5 years according to Schefter. You still have a week to come to your senses and realize what's going to happen to the 2011 Stanford football team, Andrew Luck.
  23. Verne Lundquist is 100x worse than Franklin in that regard and I rarely hear anything but good things about his announcing.
  24. I'm 24, so I'm playing the "it doesn't really matter if I wasn't around and aware of it" card. I've been rooting for the Panthers longer than the Cubs. and they've won 3 division championships, 4 playoff appearances and 1 conference championship, and played around .500 ball, which is reasonably good for a team that has only existed for 15 years. the jaguars have more playoff appearances but fewer division championships and no conference championships, and the texans haven't made the playoffs in 9 years of existence. Alright, well, we have officially taken a flippant end-of-post remark and spun it completely out of joint, so I'm going to concede the point. The 2011 Panthers are still fucked and that's the relation to this thread.
