    The Cubs made the playoffs the first two seasons after Samardzija signed. Players don't look at this stuff the way fans do.

    I saw somewhere in the madness that is my Twitter stream right now that we're sending some money with Marmol, like $2m or something. Yes, Yahoo's Tim Brown says we're sending 2M with Marmol, although none of the Cubs' reporters I follow have mentioned it.

    No one has mentioned the Cubs shipping any money to LA apart from that slot, so at this point I'm guessing that's it.
