  1. Florida State has some real problems right now. [tweet] [/tweet] This incident reportedly happened one day after DeAndre Johnson's that got him thrown out.
  2. He's been worse than I thought this year, but he was pretty good each of the last two seasons, is still locked up through next year and is cheaper than Castro. Maybe if SD is content to sell low on Cashner and gamble that Castro isn't the black hole of suck he's been 2 of the last 3 years, I guess they'd consider it. If I were in their shoes I wouldn't.
  3. The Padres, and they probably wouldn't think about it much either.
  4. I asked about it in the GDT Wednesday, but seriously, I don't think any of Lackey, Wacha or Martinez ever [expletive] give up more than 2 runs in a start, and Lynn rarely does either. It's impossible.
  5. 1.64 WHIP and a lefty? We'd better crush this guy
  6. That's why I asked. I guess there is, then, cause I couldn't fall asleep for a good 90 minutes after that game. That [expletive] hurt. How do you guys just let it go like that? It stuck in my mind like a thorn. Games get to me longer than they should, too, but I'm the opposite - I'm far more likely to have trouble sleeping after an awesome win.
  7. The fact that Motte unseated Rondon to begin with always struck me as weird. Someone as statistically open-minded as Joe had (and has) to see that Rondon is the superior pitcher. closer isn't necessarily where you use your superior pitcher I agree, but Motte has almost exclusively pitched the 9th for some time now regardless of matchups - and the flexibility to play matchups is precisely why Joe hasn't specifically named him the closer, isn't it?

  9. There is zero acceptable explanation for Fowler suddenly becoming [expletive] awful this year. None.
  10. I wonder how many PEDs Peralta is on to be having the best stretch of his [expletive] career in his mid 30s
  11. I can't quit you, Cubs. Today it's paying off. I love that STL players have now bitched to the ump during the play two days in a row. Playing the right way my hairy white ass.
  12. Rooting for them is never acceptable. Unless them losing would eliminate the Cubs somehow. And even then only begrudging indifference is OK.
  13. Outside Lyons, do any of their starting pitchers ever just not have it? Like, ever?
  14. That's all I need to see to know what this game is
  15. If we win the Series I don't care if we have to associate it with bin Laden.
  16. That ball sure looked fair to me. Certainly not clear enough to warrant whining DURING THE [expletive] PLAY
  17. That guy has to just hate it that all anyone in Chicago cares about from his career is a kiddie sports movie
  18. I would blame myself, but the only part of the opener I watched was the 8th inning outburst. My hands are clean here.
  19. Reynolds never swings like that, but sure, whatever
