  1. The last thing in the world we need right now is for Fowler to be hurt...
  2. Lester has been outstanding today. Go for the Maddux
  3. Hopkins is a must, then, but I don't think you could go wrong with any of the other 3.
  4. Thanks, don't know how I missed that MSU did a 'Celebrate the State' thing wherein they essentially signed 3-for-1s with all 3 MAC schools in the state. Naturally, Eastern Michigan has already canceled their home date for another payday game, probably because they know only 800 people would show up for that one anyway.
  5. I'm sure there's no way of checking, but I'm guessing there aren't many, if any, pitchers that have gone 9 up 9 down and also thrown more than 49 pitches.
  6. Chris Coghlan is playing RF. Today. That's happening. If he's playing it today, I'm guessing he'll be playing it going forward.
  7. Rizzo is legit one of the smartest players I've ever watched.
  8. Dunno how many keepers you get, but those are all terrific options. If you can keep them all, do it. If you have a limit, I'd probably drop Miller first. I grabbed Hopkins for $11 last year (14-team league) and couldn't slap a keeper on him fast enough. He was great last year and with Johnson gone there are more targets to go around. I wouldn't lock in Adams as your WR2, though, with your finances you can go get a better one.
  9. La Stella came up to replace Soler, so Coghlan is going to be playing RF and La Stella 2B. Castro will probably get some time at 2B too.
  10. [tweet] [/tweet] Day off for Russell. Lester bats 9th - first time pitcher has hit 9th this year.
  11. Oblique strain for Soler. Bruce Levine saying Motte to the DL too (shoulder). La Stella in lineup today, so he's replacing Soler.
  12. This has to be the first Week 1 in forever where all of the AP top 5 play away from home (although Alabama will essentially be the home team against Wisconsin).

  14. Win again. And it'd be really cool if first half Hammel comes back
  15. It took until August of the 3rd year of his contract, but I finally enjoyed an Edwin Jackson performance at Wrigley Field
  16. Lol that Herrera out looked better hit than either of the homers
  17. The least Edwin can do is give up a few dongs after all the ones he surrendered
  18. That should be a homer. That fan is an idiot though
  19. Right back in it. Super impressive!
  20. I didn't necessarily expect it but you deserve what you get when you bring in an extreme fly ball pitcher, one who had been stupidly lucky to have his ERA where it is, to Wrigley.
  21. Today is a great day for the 2007 AL All-Star team
  22. Why the [expletive] are we letting Pierzynski kick our ass again?
  23. No, he just sucks. We acquired a terrible pitcher because at least he'll eat some innings, and he can't even do that.
  24. I'm sick of Haren giving up dongs.
