$16M (prorated anyway) is pretty great work if you can get it
  2. Andy
H has no intention of holding to this, it's a transparent effort to distract the base from the Epstein stuff.

    Double post

I was barely finished saying aloud that if this were a playoff game there's no way in hell Counsell would let Drew face Bregman
  5. Andy
Drew Pomeranz another guy on the list of "might have been nice to have him start an inning that included a really tough lefty" guys in our bullpen Of course this inning includes at least 2 of those
  6. Andy
Pressly isn't great or anything but he deserves better than being on that list
  7. Andy
You can live with giving up a HR to a good lefty, but walking the guy in front of him is why no Cubs fan has warmed up to Pressly very much.

I am going to tonight's game and it's clear in Chicago right now with nothing scary on the radar. There was some rain earlier but I'd guess we start on time
  9. Andy
It 100% did, and not just because they had Schwarber available to DH.
  10. Andy
Sanchez wasn't available to pitch in the game. There's apparently (and obviously) a rule that any replacement pick has to be available to play.

Did Brujan get hurt? Seems odd to plug Shaw in at the end of the presumed reset weekend
  12. Andy
That was such awesome baseball by PCA and Seiya
  13. Andy
It seems as though STL fans have had enough of ownership, which is honestly a defensible position. It's just amusing to see attendance nosedive as soon as they have an extended spell of not being the best team in the division.

I haven't at all been following Little's minor league performances, but the bulk of the time he's been in MLB he plainly has had no idea where the baseball is going. Until that's fixed I don't need to see him.
  15. Andy
What if he did all this while holding his bat upside down
  16. Andy
Hawaiian shirt giveaway at the game.
  17. Andy
That Happ call is terrible. He dove but he never even adjusted his lane
  18. Andy
What the hell is Counsell doing blowing the challenge on this
  19. Andy
Not even Dansby's career success against Fedde is enough to overcome whatever witchcraft is in his head with RISP these days
  20. Andy
Camera person has got to stop pulling that crap
  21. Andy
No one knows why, but likely it's either gambling or something very, very bad on the criminal front
  22. Andy
Miller has low-key kinda stunk this year, I happened to have the end of an A's game on recently and his numbers are not good at all.
  23. Andy
Bringing this up for no reason other than extreme bitterness, but there was noise about the Astros cheating in pitching well before any of the trash can crap came out and I've never been at all convinced they are doing things on the level there
  24. Andy
This is where having exclusively terrible hitters at the bottom of the order really bites a team
  25. Andy
The air equivalent of a squibber ground ball. Definitely an unusual play.
