    Manfred is really starting to annoy me with that horsefeathers. You're never going to 'fix' pace of game to where games take 2 hours again. Without, that is, legislating out winning baseball strategy, which is precisely what crap like that would do. You might as well start everyone with a 2-2 count like in beer league softball while you're at it.

    STL also leads the majors in OPS with RISP with a mark nearly 100 points higher than their OPS overall, so good luck is playing a factor (albeit likely not a massive one) in the numbers that supposedly make them unlucky.

    I keep telling people this, and I think I stole it from someone on here - if Schwarber hadn't gotten hurt, he's probably mashing again, to the tune of a .850+ OPS and maybe 15 HR, and no one is talking about trading him for a reliever because it would be horsefeathering laughable.

    We didn't get this guy to pitch him in a mop-up role. I'm guessing he will slot around where Edwards currently is but behind Strop and Rondon in the pecking order for the time being. In terms of straight roster moves, yes, I'm guessing he will replace Richard.

    Maybe Unrecognized Ace cuz I kinda feel like he's qualified He probably meant he's an ace without need of a qualifier (such as "he doesn't throw hard"). But that is a weird word, unqualified.

    Unless I'm missing a joke or something, Flores is a 3B/SS, not a catcher

    The Cubs defense isn't somehow better when Hendricks pitches than it is when any of the other 4 guys pitch, which I think is why that comment seems a bit off.
