    He was already getting $2M per year (his NIL contract was the subject of some online discussion when he first enrolled) and decided he was getting underpaid even though he was not that great by any statistical measure last year. Whoever advised him to do this is a tool because it's absolutely going to cost him money.

    Ownership is an issue but there is literally almost no way to run a major league team and fail to find more than one relief pitcher who can throw strikes without getting lit the hell up in the process

    I love the idea behind never paying huge money for relievers, but you have to not suck at evaluating relievers for it to work

    Look I know it's unrealistic to expect relievers to shut it down every time out but does it have to be an immediate stress test this often?
