Shaw is either the best fielder of all options or very close and he can't realistically hit worse, so yeah, let's get him back up here. Maybe by the end of the year he'll be PCA-ing
I was just thinking earlier how funny it is that it took him so freaking long to so much as get a hit and now less than a year later he's destroying the ball.
Basically if the starter doesn't go 5 IP and the lead doesn't change hands after that the scorekeeper picks the winning pitcher. No idea what that process looks like.

Yeah, I saw that after making the post. He's actually not eligible for the writers' ballot because it's been over 15 years since he retired, so he goes straight to the Eras Committee people, as do all the other people that are now eligible.

As a couple people have pointed out, this doesn't mean he automatically gets in. The same writers who keep the steroid guys out may well decide to keep these guys out.
