  1. I resolved not to complain about Turner for a couple days after last night's clutch hit, so I'll just say it's a shame that someone else couldn't have hit that ball so they could beat the play to first
  2. The absolute worst. And this is 2 years in a row of being stuck with one. I can only hope Jed will pull the rip cord on this one faster than he did with Neris
  3. This is Berti's fault for that stupid error earlier, but I still really don't like Ryan Pressly
  4. The injury gods already took Steele, and now they've come for Shota. Not allowed to have nice things
  5. Fanduel is just the old Fox Sports Milwaukee channel.
  6. The Apple games stream in 1080p, so I don't think it's just you. The one time I watched one, it was noticeably sharper.
  7. Busch picks 'em up with a fine game of screw the closer!
  8. And that stupid wild pitch immediately results in a run instead of a double play. We just aren't allowed to relax.
  9. Walk on a strike called a ball followed immediately by the guy being driven in. Gonna be one of those weeks, I guess
  10. I know I shouldn't be mad because he hit it hard, but it always irks me when a guy swings at the first pitch after a 4-pitch walk, especially against a good pitcher. At least give it one shot to see if he's losing his control.
  11. I was thinking earlier today it would be very Cubs, and also very baseball, for them to lose the first series against a crappy team after playing such good baseball against OK to very good teams for a month straight
  12. He's in this slump because he's 40 damn years old and isn't good at baseball anymore. I'm getting really tired of this annual ritual of letting completely toasted players waste outs for a month and a half.
  13. Gangbusters AB for Berti. I keep hoping these are 2016 "this team is really good and it takes stupid horsefeathers to beat them" losses and not 2023 "you're going to regret not banking wins when this not-that-good team played its best baseball of the year" losses
  14. He's not FA eligible until after the 2030 season.
  15. And no Turner. I'm mostly ambivalent about where Kelly hits, but dumping Dansby down and this seemingly tacit admission that Turner is a corpse are both welcome developments
  16. The uniform is growing on me (not the hat, though). However, a hard no to this suggestion.
  17. "Dansby is due" says Pat. Well, he's been due for the better part of 2 years
  18. It also feels like our crappy relievers do an abnormally good job at coming in and getting outs after someone else has already given up key runs
  19. I'm trying to take it to be more like 2016 than 2023 that it feels like an abnormally large amount of our losses this year have been really really stupid
