  1. That was a horsefeathering joke of managing by Joe. Almora hits instead of Schwarber and Happ and gets subbed out anyway, and you go to Lackey on back to back days for the first time in his entire horsefeathering career instead of using Davis. That trumps anything he pulled last year.
  2. Putting this massive game on the guy we went out of our way to not start yesterday, after he pitched 2+ yesterday. Awesome.
  3. I have to conclude that Schwarber and Happ are dead since Joe let Almora hit there. RIP
  4. Only way we're winning is if Danny Glover pinch hits Adrien Brody for the ole Angels in the Outfield swinging bunt play
  5. I could be wrong, but I don't think we will win this series if no one ever reaches against their bullpen.
  6. I'm really not sure why we wasted that leadoff AB on Almora.
  7. Brandon Morrow just had to turn into Bob Gibson out of the pen.
  8. Russell snapped us out of it last year in LA. Hope history is repeating itself.
  9. Hill is throwing first pitch fastballs down the pipe to everyone and no one is biting.
  10. It's even stupider when you didn't lose the ball. That was one of the most hilariously bad calls in NFL history.

  12. Bryant hit .308/.400/.523 in the playoffs last year. He hit 3 home runs, one tied a game in the 9th inning, and the other 2 gave the Cubs leads in World Series elimination games. Yeah better than I thought. But his career playoff ops is .793 with 43k in 119ab. So I’ll stick with mediocre. 793 is a perfectly fine OPS and you are being completely ridiculous. We'd all like Bryant to be better. We have 3 entire seasons of evidence that suggest he is very likely to do just that the rest of this postseason.
  13. Lackey actually looks pretty good tonight. I'm good using him instead of Montgomery in game 3
  14. My favorite running subplot of that night was how secondary market ticket prices for Game 7 began skyrocketing immediately after that slam. Right then you knew the stadium would be half full of Cubs fans the following night.
  15. They've gone out of their way NOT to enforce that rule several times including at least once in this series last year I think. It's complete horsefeathering crap
  16. Oh horsefeathers off you assholes, where the hell else should he field the ball. What horse horsefeathers
  17. It's the old Daily Double sound from Jeopardy
  18. I don't know how we're going to win 4 more times with this bullpen.
  19. 2 innings of Jansen coming, good luck guys
  20. Gonna need some Bryzzo heroics to win tonight I think
  21. I would love to hear what people killing Joe for bullpen management last night would've done instead. When half the guys he puts in can't find the plate, his options become very limited. Joe has had bad moments (most of Game 7 comes to mind, still love you Joe), but I don't think last night had any of them.
