  1. So Plan, Sammy, myself and Brian to start. In the wild event it gets that far, Jersey, Ding Dong and the robot can have a battle royale to determine the next spot. (I really enjoyed typing that last sentence.)
  2. I believe they are. I remember listening to a game last year. You can also use International VPN or a service like delocator to watch the game. They definitely are, I used it to listen to the bulk of Games 1 and 3 of the World Series (damn you, work).

  4. I was saying that because in the past we rotated by who had the best regular-season record. Unfortunately that info seems lost to history at the moment. I'd definitely give Game 1 to Sammy regardless of all else.
  5. Alabama is both an outstanding football team and may very possibly not face a team that will finish ranked before Thanksgiving. (Texas A&M might, and they're probably the only one that might mess that up.)

    NFL Week 4

Remains to be seen if they can take advantage but this was a really nice and needed win for Carolina today. If nothing else Cam can brag about being 2-0 against Tom Brady for the rest of his life.
  7. So are we setting a playoff rotation?
  8. I don't care what order, but Hendricks and Quintana need to start the first two playoff games.
  9. 1) Where is Tree? 2) Tell that story, I've definitely never heard it. In 2004 there was a poster named Controversy. When we had the old picture thread, she posted a picture. Tree was impressed and started talking to her. We actually had an outing with me, tree, controversy and an old poster (his name is mark, drawing a blank on NSBB name) at a Cubs/Expos game (Scott Downs pitched a complete game shutout for Montreal). I believe this was their first meeting and they ended up dating for a bit, so I'm assuming they had sexy time. Wasn't Mark just MarkR? Or is this a different person?
  10. Yeah, this is irrationally annoying me. Not even a mention of Ian Happ doing this for months.
  11. MLB makes the schedule. I'm guessing we end up around that 5:30 slot because the game in LA is likely to be the late game.
  12. This inning is the best inning of this game
  13. Every time I look up I see another pitch out of the zone called a strike
  14. We were down 3 in the 6th. I didn't see it either but it better have been really horsefeathering obvious for that clown show to think we'd hit anyone intentionally in such a situation.
  15. Matheny is so laughable. Wish we could've made them pay for that stupidity.
  16. It's crazy, I can only think of 3 Cubs playoff games out of the...47 that have happened since 1989 that have been weekday afternoonish. 1998 Game 1 against the Braves was early afternoon, 2008 Game 1 against the Dodgers I believe was very late afternoon, something like a 4 or 5 PM start, and then 2015 Game 4 against the Cardinals started sometime around 3:30 PM. We've been quite fortunate in that regard. 2015 Game 2 against STL was also during the day, albeit a Saturday.
  17. Schwarber Fan has been fired for dereliction of duty. I'm 9-2 this year, and I'd like win #10 to be the clincher please.
  18. I can't wait to watch Carolina get blasted to hell by New England and Detroit the next 2 weeks

  20. Lot of interesting stuff happened today. Georgia appears to be A) really good and B) quite possibly the only other team in the SEC besides Alabama that's any better than 'ok'. The playoff looks a lot like Alabama, Clemson, the Penn St/Ohio St winner, and probably Oklahoma right now. So I'm sure it will all blow up next week.
  21. [something very smart about launch angles goes here]
  22. Hearing Bryant got a clutch hit. Can anyone confirm?
  23. Carolina is 2-0, but Cam looks like ass and Olsen broke his foot. Pretty rough team to watch.
