  1. 49 straight after UVA took the opening kickoff back for a touchdown. Playing them is hell.
  2. The report says the discussions included all 3, which makes sense, but taking from that that we offered all 3, as that writer does, would be silly.
  3. Gronk wasn't a repeat offender though. Assumed that would happen. Carolina needs to beat Tampa Sunday if only for my own sanity. I really don't want their playoff lives coming down to a trip to Atlanta in Week 17.
  4. In non-catch territory, I am perfectly fine with Thomas Davis being suspended for his dirty hit on Davante Adams on Sunday, but the suspension being twice as long as when Rob Gronkowski speared a dude on the ground after the play was over is completely ridiculous. If you're not giving Gronk more than 1 for that, you've pretty much lost the right to give anyone more than 1 for anything short of a felony.
  5. If all this Jerry Richardson crap brings about a Diddy/Steph Curry/Colin Kaepernick ownership consortium, that would just be tremendous.
  6. Dubious interpretations of already dubious rules seems to be a Patriots specialty for better and for worse.
  7. This might be the first one of these things in which I can really see either one. My first instinct was lefty.
  8. I'm about done with this Crossroads thing. 3rd straight year of a disastrous blown lead. Maui looking more and more like a mirage.
  9. Gordon was the first sports jersey I bought with my own money. Not my shrewdest buy, but I did get a few years out of it.
  10. I had him in fantasy. I noticed.
  11. Jealous. Rose Bowl is a bucket list for most CFB fans I have a cousin who graduated from Michigan State and he went the year they beat Stanford. I was extremely envious.
  12. They are always New Year's Day when the Rose and Sugar host. The other years they will be the Saturday before New Year's Day. They started that last year but that happened to be New Year's Eve so no one noticed.

  14. I disagree with Alabama over OSU, pretty strongly, but I can see not being able to look past the Iowa loss. I'll give the committee this, they've shown to not be beholden to conference agendas. 3 straight years with a team that only played 12 being in is, selfishly, a good thing for ND if they ever get good again.
  15. The fact that Fresno inexplicably got respect from the committee at 9-3 while UCF was simultaneously being ignored screamed Alabama conspiracy to me. I'm a CFB tinfoil hatter though.
  16. Ohio State over Alabama if it comes to that right? Committee has shown over and over that good wins trump everything else, and that's the Buckeyes' biggest advantage in a head to head comparison.
  17. Nebraska is - reports are Frost is all but hired
  18. UNC should have ended any cooperation with the NCAA. Just make up some garbage ex post facto reasoning for what happened (even if it conflicts with things you've already said) and you're golden. Isn't that what they did? Sorry, I meant the UNC case and how it played out should have ended anyone cooperating with the NCAA. Yes, that's exactly what they did and they got away with it.
  19. The ridiculous thing is, if reports were true about him targeting Brohm, Sumlin and/or Leach...those are all pretty good candidates for UT, and his bosses basically kept him from hiring any of them. What a mess.
  20. UNC should have ended any cooperation with the NCAA. Just make up some garbage ex post facto reasoning for what happened (even if it conflicts with things you've already said) and you're golden.
  21. We are less than a month removed from Doeren hijacking his own postgame press conference to make a baseless implication that Clemson was cheating with a laptop on the sideline, but sure, Tennessee, go for it.
  22. If not for the fact that it would backdoor Alabama or Ohio State into the playoff again, I'd find the idea of TCU beating OU and knocking the Big 12 out hilarious.
  23. I would be curious to know how many NFC teams, if they switched conferences with the Patriots, would be favored to reach the Super Bowl. Pittsburgh is the only other good team in the AFC it seems.
  24. To be clear, I’m not defending Schiano in any way. You're correct on this. People in the CFB media who know a lot more about the scandal than any of us do, and with no real reason to go out of their way to do it, were very clear yesterday that there's no evidence Schiano had the slightest bit of knowledge about anything. General educated opinion is that UT fans were using a crazy-tenuous link with Penn State to justify being angry they didn't get a bigger name. Also, people on the UT Twitter mob's side on this are squarely on the side of Clay Travis, so that should be considered.
  25. Pleasure is all mine. I'd be doing this anyway so just glad to have a place to pretend that time spent is productive. Wild day of coaching moves (and non moves, what the heck is going on in Knoxville). Lots of smoke surrounding a Jimbo to A&M move but no reports yet.
