  1. Chatwood looked better that inning than at any point his first Cubs start and I imagine his 2nd too.
  2. Here's Theresa May with some cat named Larry who apparently was semi-famous for a bit in Britain a couple years ago because he was hanging out by the PM's residence: Win again, jamokes.
  3. Here's Putin with a puppy. http://images.gawker.com/18k2lbazlviu8jpg/original.jpg Win a game, jamokes.
  4. For God's sake, we can't score off Anibal Sanchez and Darvish can't keep from throwing 100 pitches in 5 innings against Freddie and the Freemanaires
  5. Williams is doing a hell of a job inducing line shots right at fielders today.
  6. I'd rather have Grote if that were the plan. Me too. Grote would've been fine at it. Zaidman just sounds so artificial. Maybe I've been spoiled with Len and Pat, who are so good at making the play by play feel like a conversation even if it isn't.
  7. I feel like someone makes this post or its inverse like 50 times per season. The wind is a fickle mistress.
  8. LOL strike 1 to Ben was millimeters above his shins. Thanks blue.
  9. Let's hope he does, we could use a couple of baserunners here.
  10. A manager that presumably ordered, or at least had no problem with, his own pitcher intentionally hitting Jake Arrieta in a horsefeathering playoff game as 'revenge' for a couple of accidental plunks - IN A horsefeathering PLAYOFF GAME - can never say anything about 'respecting the game' ever again.
  11. Maybe don't walk the guy who can't hit lefties next time
  12. I had this game on. It was such a weird injury - he reached back for a throw behind him as he was running to first base.
  13. It was always gonna be a minimal punishment. The ump defended Molina. Well, at least the guy who apparently likes him so much that he referred to Molina by his nickname had a detached, rational view of the situation.
  14. I have no idea if you did this on purpose or not, but I love the idea that Travis d'Arnaud is so injury-prone that he might as well be a pitcher.
  15. For the last decade I've been driving about a half-mile north of Wrigley and parking for free on the streets. Once you get past the 7-11 at the Clark/Southport intersection, the 'no parking' signs disappear. But since you'll be there in the freezing effing cold, that walk might not seem so enticing.
  16. I think ultimately it's Bryant. People know he's great, but because he's kinda bland and doesn't play with any flair or attitude, he's underrated. Contreras might be second. I don't think it's appreciated nearly enough how much of a stud he is outside of our own fan base.
  17. Playing with 3 bench guys is getting annoying
