  1. how does the tie breaker work if both teams have the same conference record? if the Bears still have the tie breaker over NO, it would have been six of one, half dozen of the other. The next tie-breaker is common games, minimum of four, then strength of victories. I think it would come down to strength of victories because the Bears and Saints have both won all their common games (TB, GB, SF) although if the Saints were to lose to the Giants in Week 16, that would give the common games tiebreaker to the Bears.
  2. I don't want to say I'd kill for this to happen, but... I'd KILL for this to happen. I love Delhomme to pieces, but Brady Quinn is my all-time favorite college athlete and it'd be unreal to have him on the Panthers. They would most likely have to jump over 10 other teams to make that move. Do they have a surplus of picks to play with? Not that I know of. But they have some tradeable assets. DeShaun Foster is still young and finally has stayed healthy for a full season. Delhomme could always be moved. Drew Carter, our 3rd wideout, is young and talented. We have a surplus of tradeable DBs. And they could always trade a bunch of draft picks too, considering they won't have many players to re-sign after this year and therefore won't have many holes to fill. (I'm grasping at straws here, I know.)

  4. It just occurred to me that the Panthers could finish 5-1 in the division despite the fact that they have next to no chance of making the playoffs. Typically strange of them.
  5. Now that Cincy's playing well again, I'd say so. KC/SD would be the best game if SD hadn't already clinched the division though.

  7. So you'd rather the Cubs spend a bunch of money on a mediocre FA crop and tying the team down financially for the next 3 years while not improving nearly enough to compete for a WS title? When option B is a just-as-mediocre FA crop the following year? Yes.
  8. Hahahahahaha, Saints ball!
  9. I'm enoying watcing the Cowboys lose but I know the Saints losing is better for the Bears. Tough dilemma. What scenario exactly do we want as Bears fans? I've been thinking this over and I'm confused as hell. Coming from an NFC-phile, you want to play anyone other than the Saints. I don't think anyone else in the NFC can beat you guys at this point.
  10. I benched the Skins D for them. Sort of like choosing between me or my little brother in a game of pickup basketball this week though.
  11. Ok, I've decided Sean Payton is a friggin genius.
  12. Cubs fans are dying every day without ever having seen a championship. The answer is no. Always, always no.
  13. Whoa, what a break for the Cowboys
  14. Saints/Bears NFC title game is the closest thing to a best-case scenario right now from my perspective
  15. Reggie Bush is good at football.
  16. If not for Bradshaw I'd actually think the Sugar Bowl crew is pretty good. Kenny Albert's a solid PBP guy.
  17. Speaking of ND alums, former ND QB Carlyle Holiday made his first reception in a Packers uniform today :) WOW really?? I never thought that guy would ever make it in the league. Not all that fast, not all that big and frankly not all that talented. It's a testament to work ethic that he's still playing.
  18. JULIUS! ND ALUM :D
  19. Oh? Lots of pics of him sacked on the ground behind Oakland's vaunted OL? :) Throwing lots of TDs to Roy Williams and Kevin Jones is what I figure. :D
  20. I'm going to do the same thing with Brady Quinn next year just to tick you off Raisin.
  21. What's defensive delay of game? Never seen that one before.
  22. Weinke's up over 400 yards. How pathetic that despite how bad he's been that he'll likely score more fantasy points than my QB, Phil Rivers.
  23. Some guy named Taye Biddle caught a pass from Weinke a couple plays ago. I thought they made him up for a second.
  24. Geez louise, they kick the onside out of bounds. This team can't do anything right.
