  1. I hate the Packers. However, I'm starting every Packers player in fantasy. This is gonna be a bloodbath
  2. Or when Thibs puts all his starters back in, in the 4th quarter of a preseason game
  3. I agree that Thibs could rest his players some more. But I really think this point is overblown. Deng has been the healthiest of his career under Thibs. He's played in 91.7% of his teams games under Thibs. 81.9% the rest of his career. Are you arguing that he'd be more efficient if playing less minutes per game? He had the 2nd highest TS% of his career under Thibs in 10-11 when he averaged 39.1 MPG (2nd highest of his career). I believe his inefficient play over the last 2 years is due to playing the majority of those games without Rose creating open shots for him and his injured wrist, which he refused to surgically correct. Derrick had the lowest MPG of his career the year he tore his ACL. Can't blame that one on Thibs. The one player that I care most about MPG with is Joakim. However, outside of last year, Thibs has done a good job of limiting Jo's minutes in the past. Hopefully Jo's increased minutes last year was due more to Rose being out and Jo being needed to facilitate the offense rather than losing Asik and not having a dependable backup. I'm anxious to see his usage of Deng and butler this year. Jo needs more rest, but you're stuck with a corpse at backup C
  4. Everybody is freaking out sooo much and you're so cool and calm and stuff. Yeah! You show em!
  5. Are you talking about two out of the last three years where they had the best record in the league? Masters of the regular season, until the wheels fall off because the Dusty Baker of basketball is running his glue guys into the ground by playing them too many minutes in meaningless games. What a short-sighted response to a valid point. Also lets ignore the fact they had the best defensive bench in the league by a mile in 2010. That bench is LONG gone.
  6. Insert groin joke here Jay already did that, likely months ago. lol
  7. The offense looks very good and it's still early in its development. It isn't exactly young but it isn't old either. It's also possible to alleviate the defensive problems with one really good draft (obviously will take some luck). The offense is definitely in its prime years with the defense needing to be rebuilt, it has happened before with a one year turnover with less talent in that previous year. I think the defense needs at least 3-4 new starters + young talented bodies to create depth. By the time the Defense can bridge the gap with the talent level on the offense Cutler, Forte and Marshall will be near the end of their prime. Not sure if that is extremely negative, or just realistic.
  8. Man, any Bears talk just makes me depressed. The short term and long term outlook for this team is.....not good.
  9. Angelo left this team with only Forte as a somewhat building block for life moving forward. He was an absolute shitty GM who boned this franchise. I'm thinking we need more then 1 draft class to be a real contender. This team can't replenish the defense in 1 season and expect a middle of the pack defensive ranking IMO
  10. Just my 2 cents. Conte and Major Wright are being exposed to the horrific play of the Dline. Cutler will be retained. The injury does not give him much leverage if at all as he'll have to include performance escalators in his contract based on starts and injuries. I say bring back Tillman, Wootten, Anderson for sure. Melton if he's willing to budge on cost. Slauson makes sense to re-sign, he's still fairly young. Replace everybody else on D including Peppers, Wright, DJ (Bostic) and Jennings. The Bears will have significant cap room especially considering we'll likely cut Peppers, Hester, Bush and Earl Bennett. The offense looks fine with the exception of adding a speed compliment to the WRs, a Center and a backup TE. I thought Bostic played fine. We can reasonably expect both him and Greene to improve with more snaps. The silver lining with the injuries to the linebackers is to develop for next year. Frey hasn't been exposed, not sure what his grade is at PFF, but he's looked average at least. The defense is really lacking youth and developmental prospects. David Bass looked good yesterday as a 7th round pick.
  11. Bears could get a top 10 pick. 4 wins currently with no easy wins left.
  12. Cutler down Briggs down Tillman down Bad calls Bad defense Punt return TD Called back onside kick Anything else?
  13. Omg....only the Bears. This is a game of nightmares.
  14. That's on Conte falling because of LIGHT contact offering 0 support to his teammate. He's been straight awful this year. Stupid [expletive] Bears, this defense is showing the years of failed draft picks and having to be on the field 75% of the game.
  15. Lmao, our D looked like bowling pins all laid out in the end zone.
  16. What a stupid [expletive] team. Only the Bears.....
  17. He's not coming back. This season is over. Hopefully we get a top 15 pick.
  18. Stupid Bears game. What an awful offense showing
  19. It's not even that, he's old and bad
  20. The Dline looked ok that series
  21. Pretty sure nobody wanted the defense and special teams to fall off as dramatically as they have. Being an ass or u really don't get it? We wanted an offensive led football team. The offense is top 10 good and everyone has caveats. The defense doesn't have to carry the team and people are upset that they aren't capable of it anymore, despite the fact that they still get turnovers at a league best rate. The offense has made up for the decline on defense like we hoped. Squeaking out last second wins and barely beating ass teams isn't what we hoped for. Like I said, the offense is trending clearly in the right direction and things look really good on that end for the future, but to sit back and say right now that everything is essentially fine this season isn't being realistic. There's a massive, massive gap between the defense carrying the team and the mess that it is right now, so to act like people "don't get it" when they're pointing how obviously flawed the team is right now is just ridiculous. The Bears are a decent team that is likely going to to either miss the playoffs or get knocked out very early because everything besides the offense is old and declining fast. This. Very accurate summery of what we can expect from the Bears this season. Also, unless the Bears decide to stop playing like ass against the Packers, I'm gonna count those 2 games as losses. Dallas can easily be a loss too.
  22. This game has a scary feel to it. Reminds me of the Seahawks game last year.
  23. Williams was relegated to being a 2 down LB was he not? Anderson was getting the Nickel snaps. I'm kind of excited to see if Bostic can make some standout plays at MLB. If we're gonna take an injury hit, I'd rather it be at LB then CB or DE.
