  1. Oh.My.God. Please lord give us Cabrara. Please? Lee Cabrara ARam.
  2. Yeah but the Cubs fans got kicked in the nuts in 2003, 2004, and 2005. The Card fans got the taste of playoffs the past two seasons.
  3. Yeah but HOO-BOY, he can sure catch the ball!
  4. If Hendry downs anymore donuts or popcorn shrimp, he might get a third chin by the end of the winter meetings.
  5. All the fans are going crazy and celebrating the fact that Jose Macias has agreed to play in the WBC. Hendry is working up an extension as we speak.
  6. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/article.jsp?ymd=20051205&content_id=1276086&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc wow
  7. I pray that the Cards offer 5 years 65 mill for AJ. They are wasting time and money with that glass arm.
  8. I'd package Mitre, Wellemeyer, Dope, Williams for 3 of those players.
  9. Dont forget that the Trib had Kearns saying that he wanted to play for the Cubs, and he loved Wrigley. If you get a guy wanting to play for you, I can bet his stats will be good.
  10. Giles wanted to stay in SD. There is no denying that.
  11. He has no eggs. He hasen't done a thing except sign a couple of bullpen pitchers. Our offense remains the same, and I highly doubt D-Lee puts up another MVP year.
  12. Furcal and Ponson on the same team would put the Wrigley bars out of stock.
  13. Their rotation is old, and overrated. I fully expect Pedro to have a down-year, and for Glavine to give up twice as many homers, as he did last season.
  14. I'd like to see him hit leadoff a couple hundred games before I advocate putting him there.
  15. Walker is a two man. To have the numbers to lead off is one thing, but to actually do it is another.
  16. Chicago Cubs baseball. Weaker starting pitching. Terrible outfield No OBP No speed No leadoff hitter Yeah, we'll go far. Offer trades for Bobby, and Miggy. The Cubs need a "splash."
  17. Batting him second is definitely more doable. I'd personally like to see an experienced, proven playoff vet in the leadoff hole for the next 5 years. As a fan I hate worrying about finding one in the off-season, and thats why I'd throw a 5 year 50 mill contract to Furcal np.
  18. Soccer, that situation while it may be decent, Murton is still unproven in the minds of the majority. The kid needs a good full season of experience, to even be thrown into the mix of such a role. I'd rather have Murton bat 6th or 7th, and soak in the experience and feeling of a full-time player in the MLB, rather then fully depending on him to reach base 3-4 times out of every 10 ABs. Its too early for that.
  19. I'd say the Cubs might be inclined to up payroll, if its a can't miss opprotunity.(sp). Thing is, beggers can't be choosers, and we're getting to the point of desperation. If Furcal doesn't sign, we're in deep trouble at the leadoff spot. Walker/Murton have good OBP, but speed would be most beneficial.
