    He managed to turn around a situation where he was forced to gut a Cup winning roster that had dire cap issues due to his predecisor, and in 4 years got them another Cup, within a bad bounce of likely a second Cup and (hopefully) an extended run this year. He's made his mistakes for sure, Crawford's contract is going to kill them this offseason, trading Leddy looks idiotic when you see what he's done with more playing time in NY and what we are left with on the ice. Vermette was one of the top targets out there at the deadline and the Hawks were praised for the move. I'm not sure why he hasn't fit in, but it wasn't a terrible move when it was made. Another thing that I always hear is that Q has a lot of say on player transactions. Yes Bowman is ultimately accountable, but its unlikely that Bowman forced Vermette on him without his approval. I could see people being lukewarm on him, but to suggest he's done nothing is silly. Well I didn't exactly say he's done *nothing* but I lean on the side of thinking that he basically inherited a pretty full cupboard of young talented players. Pirri and Hayes particularly hurt. Leddy got a deal too rich for the Hawks to pay. I'm anxious to see how he proceeds with coach Q and a rebuild. Isn't Babcock going to be available?

    People should be killing Bowman for losing a 1st rounder in the Vermette deal. What a waste. Especially in a year where we have to shed salary. Has Stan Bowman done anything worth noting or is all just Dale Tallon?

    Last push before an inevitable rebuild sort of year next year. Lots of decisions to make. I for one would be okay with moving Sharp/Crawford/Bickell to upgrade at D. Behind Keith and Seabrook do we have anybody worth a damn?

    This is indeed the worst case scenario for the Bears. No real obvious choice here so it comes down to preference. I am thinking that the Bears do not yet know what they have on defense. Many players have been signed up front as well as a few returning from injury. It comes down to Dupree or Kevin White and I think the Bears badly need another impact player on offense. White has been compared to Julio Jones which would form an outstanding duo with Alshon Jeffrey Bears select WR Kevin White

    This beef is stupid. 'Ask fans of 29 other teams,' who really cares? Using the 'majority rules' card on a fan forum doesn't automatically grant you internet victory. We can use that reasoning all day long in a giant circle leading nowhere. The debate over whether Keith brings more value/skill to the Hawks versus a turd like Reaves or Ott really isn't one. Keith is going to have a long and widely successful career at being one of the best at his position. He's one of the Hawks most important players. Reaves going on the radio and talking revenge automatically makes him the king of turds. Keith is hardly a dirty player. He's done a couple things that were stupid, most notable in my mind is the high sticking he had vs the Kings. Maybe you're watching the games but you need a new TV.

    Exactly, Keith actually has skill and is a big part of 2 winning Stanley Cup teams. All those Blues puds are for the most part role playing goons.

    More I think about it, I have a feeling that if Amari Cooper is gone, the Bears would go with a Mariota/Waynes (CB)/Oline pick. I keep coming back to the thought that Gase is likely going with a strong run scheme and that a WR would be a luxury pick as opposed to a scheme pick. They obviously don't like Cutler so why go with a WR not named Amari Cooper before finding a QB of the future? Also aside from Fuller this team has no other youth in the secondary.

    Damn seeing the Kings up close, they're big as hell. That Saad hit was brutal, very surprised he came back. Looked like a shoulder injury or a concussion.

    I happen to greatly enjoy the B&B show, however I can do without some of the off topic stuff Bernstein tends to talk about. I think it's important for sports radio to be critical and opinionated otherwise it's basically the Mully and Hanley show. Boring.

    From my understanding, a lot of that was due to his combine showing. Cooper has the superior tape. I don't think his combine should be enough to make up for the tape (and competition) difference- but it seems to have - at least from the media. White wowed with some of the measurements, but Cooper still edges him in a couple areas while still passing the threshold of elite athleticism. 6'1" 211 31.5" reach, 10" hands 4.42 40, 33 vertical, 120 broad, 6.71 3 cone, 3.98 20 shuttle 6'3" 215 32.625", 9.25" 4.35, 36.5, 123, 6.92, 4.14. Also completed 23 benches, 11.52 60 shuttle Basically the only question Cooper left unanswered at combine is bench. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So Cooper didn't bench? Not a big deal. I guess I would be fine with either, but I love the fact that Cooper has elite route running ability.
