  1. I bet Trestman will be fired after Sunday's game
  2. I'm nervous of taking a strong safety at the top of the draft. He's got to be a Sean Taylor type of player for me to be okay with that. This team can use a FS with range more importantly then a SS if you went that route.
  3. Collins at 9 is a slight reach IMO. You gotta go with the stud OT or DE IMO
  4. I'm leaning towards drafting a quality OLineman and trying to do some of what the Cowboys do. Lean on a power run game a bit more letting Cutler take more calculated shots down field as opposed to letting him throw 30-40 times a game.
  5. Obviously the first draft as a whole was failure but I'm concerned that none of his mid-round picks to this point have really shown anything. I was an Emery fan coming into this season. He seemingly saw some of the same problems with personnel that we did.
  6. That is outstanding work. Please lose Bears, just go down without a fight, gutless like the choking idiots you all are.
  7. Brees is going to light up this horrible defense. I was going to point out that Brees isn't the same on the road in the cold as at home, but he has actually played better statistically on the road this season, and the long range forecast has Chicago at a high of 50 and low of 32 on Monday. As bad as the Saints looked, this is a perfect get well scenario for them. The Bears will allow free releases all day to Graham, Stills and Co. Ingram has looked good this season as well, so there's room to run on the Bears.
  8. This franchise is stupid. Hiring a hipster GM, who unsurprisingly hires a way outside the box coach, having a franchise QB and not giving him any help for 4 years. But keeping Trestman and Emery doesn't make them stupid. Emery has no realistic shot at being fired. He's only had 3 years, and 1 of them was basically inheriting Angelo's mess of players and w/ Lovie as coach. And if there's any doubt he's the GM for the long-term, then you aren't going to push to get Trestman fired so Emery then has another chance to hire a coach. I think Trestman and Emery are tied to Cutler, for better or worse. Trestman is the QB whisperer, but can't get Cutler to stop making mistakes and make a deep playoff run. Emery made the wacky hire and gave Cutler a long-term contract without having proven he coud stop making mistakes and make a deep playoff run. And it doesn't make financial sense for Cutler to go anywhere yet. Pin it all on the DC. Try to make the veterans buy in on offense this offseason, hope Wilson isn't hurt in camp, the OL is improved, and that the defensive issues are partly scheme related. It sucks if it is a lame duck situation, but I'd much rather that than Emery hiring another dud coach. Our best hope is old Virgina kicking the bucket and her family forced to sell the team. Its widely known the Mccaskeys don't have the financial resources to be able to afford the massive estate taxes her death would bring. That's the best scenario.
  9. Terry Boers was on air yesterday basically saying his Bears source cited that the team is not looking to make a change to either Trestman or Emery. Mel will likely be the fall guy this offseason and then Trestman will struggle to find a lame duck DC for 1 year. This franchise is all sorts of stupid. Reminds me of Bill Wirtz and the Blackhawks.
  10. At least 1 butt fumble will occur on Thursday IMO
  11. That last play sequence was typical Bears. What a disaster
  12. Would have been nice if cutler didn't throw tha pass or not underthrow it into coverage. That's what happens when your defense can't really stop anyone consistently and therefore your QB has to be near perfect every time. Cutler isn't a "going to be perfect" guy. I know. Our team sucks. We can't run on these guys and Marshall no longer appears to be difference maker. Cutlers play today, and the play calling today; would be fine for this team and we'd have won 2-3 more games this year. Serious question: do you type your posts into Google Translate, translate them to Spanish, then Japanese, and then back to English? Lmao
  13. Let's face it; this one was barely "pivotal." You're right but I would have enjoyed a little distraction from the Bulls injury drama
  14. It would be nice if we could win a pivotal division game sometime in the near future.
  15. Safety or pick 6 incoming!
  16. http://media.giphy.com/media/OcuC6izvijhm0/giphy.gif
  17. None of us were against the two kids who kept instigating it. They were the types who took it WAY too seriously and were bigger than everyone else so they're just hurling us pipsqueaks around and bodyslamming like a couple of junior psychos. The rest of us shared many a harrowing look that screamed "why isn't anyone stopping this?!?" http://media.giphy.com/media/SwefghwWAJrz2/giphy.gif
  18. You were in the Bot Scouts, that's your own damn fault I was 9, you weirdo. So which parent just sat and stared the whole time? It felt like all of them. http://media.giphy.com/media/KdyD2SUxVoEUw/giphy.gif

  20. Scalding hot take. Did you wear a welding mask before reading?
  21. I want the Bears to badly lose on Sunday. The long term outlook would be great. Trestman would easily be gone leaving no shred of doubt that he's not a good fit. As well as a better pick. Then you hope with every embarrassing loss you Bears ownership will recognize that Philips is in no way the right man to run the football operations and selection of GMs.
  22. Jay gets hurt next week vs TB. Things look dismal for Turkey day until Shea McClellin breaks Staffords collarbone. A simplified offense under Claussen puts up 31 and Bears pull off the divisional upset on the road. A 6-6 Bears look ahead to a 3-1 home/road schedule with only one seemingly tough game and a fresh QB controversy. My brother and I argue all Thanksgiving night whether Trestmans offense is "more suited" to Claussen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Lmao. I'm in anguish at the thought of Thanksgiving. All my friends and family who are not Bears fans get to sit around and [expletive] talk Cutler and Bears. Nicccceeee.
  23. Please lose Bears, we need more top tier talent on draft day.
  24. Right. The Trestman 'watching the practice video' crap is insulting to everybody.
  25. There's got to be a misunderstood genius from NFL Europe who was never given his rightful shot. lol. The silver lining is by keeping all the coaches in place, we're a shoe-in for a top 5 pick.
