  1. Still hungover from all the partying, stupid :banghead:
  2. Vereen had no physicality, no instinct and no size. Goodbye. As for the Bears, it's looking like they're going to get hosed on the top shelf QB talent this year. Aside from Cook (meh) and Goff who both don't really look like surefire talents at QB, they could likely just pick the best defensive player available.
  3. Man I'm over DRose. All his dumb comments, grubbing for more money 2 years before FA, not finishing his rehab by playing in games, and this recent civil suit are just too much. This guy is scummy.
  4. So basically it's a fake or the leftovers of the actual evidence that's already accounted for? To me, both sides of this 'debate' are nauseating. You have B&B and 670 appearing to be a little too emotionally involved in this case and waging war against the idiot Hawk fans supporting Kane blindly. This whole thing is messy and confusing. Justice is obviously the #1 priority here, but from my viewpoint, the evidence they had on Kane himself was debatable and not at all conclusive. The problem with these accusations in general is it's a he said vs she said unless you have clear cut DNA/bruising around the victim's genital area. DNA under the fingernails doesn't conclusively point towards somebody being guilty of rape. So I gather that the case was a hail Mary after it was leaked that the rape kit didn't have his DNA. Without being an expert on this type of thing, is that rough summery more or less accurate?
  5. Emery's handing out contracts is bad any way you cut it. Houston, Cutler, Allen, Jennings, Marshall (debatable) just the ones that immediately come to mind. Willie Young was surprising, Martellus is the lone bright spot for me. He was an excellent signing when you consider the black hole of talent at TE since Olsen was traded. I liked Emery's philosophy and the method he seemingly went about his business, but the actual picks he made and guys he signed just weren't good. As for Pace, the early results at the risk of being premature are not good. I definitely want to give him more time though.
  6. Somebody mentioned Alshon being a good Emery pick. He's a good receiver, when he's healthy and in shape. He's had too many injuries and can't stay on the field. Emery was god awful with his drafting, signing of free agents and contract extensions. I can't think of one thing he did that really helped this team. Ryan Pace seems like he's following protocol. I'd love to see a young player emerge on this team, but I won't hold my breath.
  7. Are you drunk? The Bears can't beat Oakland if Mack and Smith are sitting on Clausen's head repeatedly. The Raiders are on the come up. I would like Goff as our next QB, however I am leaning towards BPA for a top 5 pick. The Bears cant afford anymore busts. Sidenote: Did Emery do anything right? All of his picks pretty much blow except for a Guard.
  8. There is still so much roster shakeup on the coming horizon. This is patchwork 3-4 defense. Overall very encouraging and you can tell that the coaching staff is solid. The Bears looked somewhat ready and competent. I was expecting a blowout and they kept it close for 3 quarters. I thought Adam Gase was terrific with his play calls/design of the offense. He had a rolling pocket for Jay a number of times and kept the defense on their heels with the quick screen game. We have to continue to root for 5 wins or less this season to get a shot at a good QB prospect in the draft.
  9. 71-10 Packers
  10. WTF is Ryan Pace doing? For a blocking TE who ran a 5.0 40? RG3 is not yet a lost cause however he's going down that path if he's not released and allowed a fresh start. RG3 also is NOT just a mobile run-based QB. He's a QB with all the traits and talent to be a very good pocket passer, however Shanahan didn't develop that part of his game, running an offense tailored to his mobile skills. Jay Gruden appears to be extremely stubborn with forcing his system on RG3 who's not a system fit. So we're at the point where RG3 is stuck in a system not for his current skill set, needing to work with a veteran staff who could help him develop as a pro style QB. I'm hesitant to lap up the media narrative of a selfish player unable to get along with teammates. He's a great media punching bag right now.
  11. Not so, as far as the coaching staff goes. Jay Gruden is awful. I would also argue that as bad as our Oline looks so far, it's still better then the Skins Oline.
  12. Is it really dumb to want the Bears to take a flier on RG3? With the right coaching and better personnel I think he could work out of his issues.
  13. Yep. I'll probably be okay the first 3-4 games then die suddenly.
  14. We're going on 9 out of the last 10 seasons being a miserable failure with unfulfilled expectations. However yes, the Cubs provide a great distraction.
  15. 2015 Bears = misery porn I hope to god we get a top 3 pick, although it's more lily somehow Fox and Fangio find a way to get to 6-7 wins.
  16. i'm more than slightly nervous about him i'm not really sure he's any good That would make the top 2 CBs from that draft.....busts.
  17. Anyone else slightly nervous about Kyle Fuller? He hasn't done much good since week 4 of last season.
  18. http://chicago.suntimes.com/sports/7/71/891305/jay-cutler-lacks-poise-inconsistent-needs-accountable-angelo-says Does anyone take Angelo seriously besides ESPN suits?
  19. So the knock on both Vereen and Amos is they aren't physical and their tackling is shoddy, right?
  20. I understand how he got to that point. Doing these radio gigs you have platters of food catered and when you're hosting from a restaurant it's open menu season. Spiegal is inhaling all this free food and somebody needs to stop him immediately.
  21. Was there anything on his social media aside from frat boyish behavior with the Stanley Cup? And yes Dexter, many athletes employ security in the form of off duty cops and former military, especially star players.
