Would you prefer Javier Vazquez? i think Garcia has a bigger contract so money wise i would prefer Vasquez, but we might have to give up less in talent to get Garcia-either would be a solid addition to another FA starter, Z, Hill, Prior,etc

after nearly 20 years of being a fan, i visited Wrigley for the first time in June- I have to agree the city itself was amazing and very clean- besides all the homeless people asking for money. Wrigley was so amazing, i sat in the bleachers for 3 days-best 3 days of my life(unfortunately we got our donkeys kicked by the stros and tigers for everygame).

I wonder if ole Jimbo will try and get Garcia from the southside- i am not saying it would be a bad move- maybe Dempster+Izturis for Garcia? i would definitely not be opposed to Garcia as a # 3 or 4 starter-

I hope that Pierre and Ramirez are not a package deal. I'd love to have Ramirez back but not so much with Pierre. How much are they going to get? i think Ramirez gets 5/65 from Hendry-no way Jim lets him go anywhere- Pierre i think wants to stay and will probably give a "discount" to stay- maybe 3/22.5? he made 6m this year so a raise and stability in Chicago may make him happy- someone will pay 9m a year for him somewhere-maybe he stays here for 7 a year-hope not but oh well. if Hendry does sign him he has to start shopping Jones -

Cuse, i think Hendry will resign both Ramirez and Pierre- and i think he should- i also think we keep Pagan and unfortunately because of his Maciasness which hendry loves we'll see bynum again on the bench next year, afterall...speed never slumps-i dont think either of them is eligible for FA yet either- Those two are a pretty good start on the bench and cheap too- i just wish we had a capable Catcher to back up Barrett that was in our system-we really need to save money on an many options off the bench as possible so we can spend it on the position starters and pitchers-

i really wonder if there is a valuable, sensible trade out there where you get value for Zambrano- i dont think there is. if Ramirez leaves then we have a serious problem- on the bright side( if there is one) that frees up another 12M for free agency- Zambrano would fetch a huge amount of talent- Would you do any of these deals? if any of the teams agree to them? Z+Izturis+Moore for Tejada+Mora+Bedard? Z+Barrett for Pudge+Verlander? Z+Cedeno for Ervin Santana+ Kendrick+ Wood? Z+Guzman+Murton for Willis and Cabrera? Z for Cano+Wang+Cabrera i really think that if we understand Z is not going to re-sign then he must be traded for a kings ransom. I realize some of these may be unrealistic but not by far- Zambrano would be a HUGE trade- I personally never want Z to go anywhere-EVER-i have sufficient man love for him.

My problem with Dusty is he is still around. Why? if you are not going to give him an extension then what is the point of him hanging around-it is a waste of time- We have heard several players and even Hendry quoted as having NO chance of reaching the postseason-so why continue this failure? i dont understand the logic- Dusty's lineups and constant micro managing is a complete waste of time for this flawed organization-and Dusty being around hurts us not only now, but the offseason as well- here are few things Hendry should mandate if he keeps Dusty around- 1. Murton should play EVERYDAY from here out-if anything he increases his trade value immensely if he continues and hits 300 with a 380OBP-other teams value OBP so they would value Murton-but not if he is treated like a "bench" guy-his cvalue is that of a starter-period. 2. Rusch gets no more starts- the rotation should go 6 man to save Z's arm or at the very least should NEVER go to a 4 man-minimum of 5 man- i dont care about days off -save your arms for next year- Z Prior Hill Marmol Guzman Marshall All these guys should get starts the rest of the year-out of Marshall, Guzman, hill, and Marmol someone will increase their trade value for a possible deal in the offseason- or cement themselves as the best young starting core in the bigs...except for maybe Detroit- 3. Cedeno and Cesar should split time at SS- When Cedeno plays ss then Theriot plays 2nd- when you play Cesar then Cedeno should play 2nd- NEIFI SHOULD NOT START UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE-PERIOD. its not like he isnt a known commodity-he is terrible and everyone besides dusty knows this so with Dusty at the helm he is stunting the growth of the org. by taking away at bats for Theriot or Cedeno and giving them to the dufus- The bottom line is Dusty needs to go-NOW, the more time Hendry waits the more questions we have going into next year and more unproven commodities in our young arms and young players because Dusty refuses to play them regularly- that is why i want Dusty gone, because the only hope we have is next year-if he isnt part of the the solution then he needs to go-i think he has proven himself to be a very big part of the problem-it is inexcusable that he is still in the bench-
