Part of me is already wondering if his lack of range is turning regular plays into special ones. I'm not holding out much hope for him at SS, but his bat can be elite anywhere, from the early returns. -
Smoral evidently already has an agreement in place with Toronto in the 2 mill range.

Honestly, I'd love to wind up in Houston's predicament next year. Currently the draft is better than this one, but at least for now, no consensus top pick. If it brings multiple bigtime players here, I'm all for it.

Also, our 16th rounder, Hamman or whatever, is 326 on BA's top 500. So, there's at least some decent talent there.

37 CLAYTON CRUM JUCO HOWARD COLLEGE RHP. We drafted him a few years ago for sure. No clue what his situation is now, but I think he IS near the bottom of the BA top 500. edit- Crum is 238th on BA's list. Again, probably very tough to sign.

Yes. He doesn't show up on the BA undrafted list. Thanks. If just popped up on the UCLA Twitter acct. 27th rd to the Reds. Don't think he'll sign. Granted, you won't get them ALL, but that HAS to be the best 5 man pitching recruiting class of all time, right? Giolito/Fried/Virant/Kaprelian/Poteet. Good lord.

Yeah, when I posted Cain money, I'd think about it hard, because it's just not easy to find these guys. Not at or around the age Garza is right now. Prices are going upwards again and if we trade him, we're almost definitely punting 2013 at this point. My guess is this is why the negotiations aren't done already. If it were as easy as giving Garza something like what Danks got, this thing would be over and done with.

I actually agree with that. If I nitpick anything, I'd certainly take a major young piece, but I agree that the bulk of the deal needs to be AA type guys. I'll say this though: If Garza wants Cain money, I'm very hesitant to keep him. Probably would, but I'd hesitate.

In the 27th, we took Tyler Bremer. I think we've drafted him previously. RHP He's a senior out of Baylor now. Think we may have drafted him out of a JUCO. At one point, he was a borderline top 200ish guy. Guess not so much now.

That sucks. My last name is Wiseman and I'd LOVE for a Wiseman to play for the Cubs. I know nothing about him, but much like this post, Twitter says he's a "swing for the fences" pick and a tough sign. I want him. He's a Vandy commit. Extremely smart. Solid, all around CF. Borderline top 100 guy, but has always wanted to play for Vanderbilt.
