The White Sox system is pathetic. They don't have enough to trade for Dempster.

They're not close to as good of a board as here. But they do have a group of solid posters. They do have one thing in particular that this board doesn't though. And that's Marlin, who clearly does have a very legit source, as he's broken quite a few moves. He's not right 100% of the time, but his track record is excellent. They have some other solid guys too, Yagyu has done the best job of anyone on the internet keeping up with draft signings. Those two guys are why I check them out for sure. They do have a good core group on top of them, that would contribute nicely here though, without a doubt.

I really don't see an NL team taking a chance on him. I'll predict he winds up in either Baltimore or Cleveland.

I wouldn't think so. He's a RF, Brett plays CF. Only guy right now that can make Brett tradeable is Szczur possibly. Which is probably a longshot anyway.

I would put him there. Same with Shark. Especially LaHair though. I don't think very many GM's, especially of major market teams, would have given him a shot.

Oh, and by the way, I would think anyone could see the point about heading into a new job, not having much time to get to know your landscape, then not wanting to put very much longterm money on your books, at least until you got to know the entire organization you just joined. Couple that with the changing CBA and I totally get why you don't just go and spend, because you can. Only issue that was probably not addressed in a decent manner was the pen. Even then, Kerry Wood was supposed to help there and Marmol wasn't supposed to suck THIS bad.

Marlin, at PSD, says the Dodgers are really in on Demp and he hears the Yanks like him too. Says Demp could be dealt sooner than later. How about making it one stop shopping for the Dodgers? A desperate Ned? I'd love to send them Demp and LaHair, if we could get Lee or Eovaldi, one of Webster, Reed or Gould, Sands, and one of Martin or Withrow for them.

All but Pugliese are IFA's, out of those 4 guys. Contreras has supposedly been moved back to C, one reason he's repeating. He was our largest bonus guy one year, rumored 850k. Amaya can flat out hit. Probably on the majority of everyone's top 30's listed here. Dunston Jr just tweeted he's headed to Boise as well.

I would think Vogelbach gets Arizona. Sucks, but with his EXST, it's hard to argue, if that's the case. At least he appeared to be coming out of his slump late.

On my cell, so can't link, but Conway sounds like he's signing and even gave off a quote saying he was thankful Cubs took him and believe in him and are willing to help him through rehab. Sounds to me like we may be underslotting him. McNeil says he was on the phone with Cubs and Twins negotiating at about the same time. Sounds like it's possible he could be underslotted a tad as well. Said he expects to sign as long as the numbers talked about end up being the same.

I honestly don't care if we give him as much or more than Cespedes got. We've spent no money at all, will be trading away guys soon and have extremely little money on the books going forward. We're building for the future, not now at all, and this guy represents it. Have to get him. No excuses here.
