  1. That is the best description of Javy's swing yet. And that article basically says its [expletive] time to BELIEVE.
  2. I bought in a long time ago that he was fixable, but unless he starts getting reps at 3B very soon, I think he'll begin at Iowa. But if so, I could see him up before May. If he gets reps in within a week though, I think he's got a great shot to be our Opening Day 3B. Leading to a Barney trade or a Murphy DFA.
  3. Ihedigbo left Detroit without a contract. If we are still looking at FA Safeties, he'd be a nice addition.
  4. Very, very happy with the Young signing. Hixon? I'm fine with him, whether its to replace Weems or Earl. Hope we keep Peanut and if so, I think we'll be done until the draft.
  5. [expletive], I turned it to The Americans, who'd they get 3 off of in the 9th?
  6. Olt retweeted someone in between innings, then knocks in Almora with a hard single.
  7. I listened to some Cubs site podcast today that had Parks on it for an hour and he said Almora walks around like he's John Holmes on a baseball field.
  8. James Russell. Otherwise, we've been remarkably healthy. Arrieta.
  9. Well, if Vitters has anything remotely positive to cling to, it's that Watkins was sent down before him. He's likely higher on their "we don't want to DFA this guy" list than Watkins is anyway.
  10. I'd much prefer Norris to Nolin, who I see as a very slightly better Rusin.
  11. If past years are any indication, just because Soler has been assigned there, I still think there's a decent chance he gets pushed back to Daytona for a short stint.
  12. If it were up to me, at best, I would only have 1 of the 4 in, and at 30. I'm surprised how people seem to be so low on amaya now. yeah. This. Amaya is 2nd on my list right now behind Cabrera. I can't believe no one thinks these 2 are top 30 guys anymore. I've voted for Amaya. He's in my top 30. Cabrera is older and has been in AA for 4 years with no truly positive showings at higher levels. Sure, he's got stuff, but as long as he's been around, it's hard to come up with excuses for him. At least with a Paniagua, you can dream. With Cabrera, if things break right, he's a middle reliever at this point most likely.
  13. If we're talking pure upside, Paniagua has front line stuff. As good or better than anyone not named CJ or Arodys, in the system. Obviously, I don't see him putting it together quick enough to become that, but it appears he's going to be used as a starter this year and if the control comes back.....I could easily see him take Rivero's quicker route thru leagues. Maybe get a decent look in AA even. And if he's throwing mid to upper 90's and dominating as he did initially, he's easily going to be a top 10 guy next year.
  14. Trestman evidently worked with him prior to getting drafted.
  15. Jennings is depth. He's Craig Steltz' replacement. Emery mentioned he's still looking in FA for Safeties. Also mentioned there is much more depth at CB in the draft, than in FA. So unless Tillman is brought back, I suspect CB won't be addressed until the draft. At least not with a starting caliber player.
  16. As opposed to what? It's perfectly acceptable to prefer ceiling to guys that have little upside at this point.
  17. I.think they'd check back in, but AA doesn't seem like the type willing to get bent over either. Which is what it'd take to pry Shark away, in my opinion.
  18. Tuck is visiting the Raiders today.
  19. I asked Michael Wright, he said they're in on him as well.
  20. After cutting Peppers and accounting for Houston, DJ, and Senn(no numbers yet for Mundy) we're 13 mill under the cap.
  21. Another report I saw said 37th. Did you pull that directly from PFF? Nah, it was a retweet from my timeline. Bears looking at Domenic Hixon.
  22. Never mind, back to 14.9 guaranteed on Houston. Still, with a mill base this year, his cap number is under 3, correct?
  23. 4.95 signing bonus, 3 mill roster bonus for Houston.
