    Random thoughts: Lake may not make good contact, but he hits the ball really hard when he does. No reason he shouldn't be playing most days, considering the other options.     From what I've read, ECU's defense has cost Hoffman quite a few runs. Their defense is supposedly very poor. I definitely have him in my top 4, with Kolek, Aiken, and Rodon. Anyone else, if nothing changes, is a disappointment to me.

    You still have not enough pitching and Olt isn't becoming a legit starter. Olt WILL and you've got Wood, Jackson, Shark or the return for him, maybe Arrieta or Hendricks and 30 mill to spend, with Alcantara, Vogelbach, Villanueva, Candelario, etc to deal. I think the rotation can be a strength heading into 2015, even if Shark is gone.

I get this [expletive] is frustrating and I'm not a Renteria fan at all currently, but if Starlin gets fixed, Olt becomes a legit starter and Rizzo progresses, this team can contend in 2015 with a sub 100 mill payroll.

    Rodin is sitting 94-96, touching 98. Slider 87-88, cutter 99-91-both filthy, according to Aaron Fitt.

    I wonder what kind of price tag Rodon is going to have? Considering what Appel got by staying his senior year, I'm going to guess that Rodon either goes top 2(or gets no worse than 2nd slot money anyway) or goes back for his senior season, if his stock is down at the time of draft.

    I preemptively accept your apology when I'm right about Olt long-term. And I'll continue to admire your waffling when he puts up close to an .800 OPS in 450+ at bats and there's so much positivity coming from you then it's alarming to most.
