    Nope. The Lakers have already dealt their 1st the following year. The only way this could happen is for the Lakers to pick who the Bulls want and make the trade after the draft.

    I'm in the middle here, in all honesty. I do think Thibs is one of the 3 best coaches in the league. Behind Pop and in the same range as Doc. I'm unsure as to whether he's a draw for FA or not, but I "think" that he is. At least somewhat. And for that reason alone, I think I'd keep him. Rosé isn't a draw for FA, not in his current state and as much as I love Noah, I doubt he's much of one himself. If Thibs being here gives us a legit shot at Melo, you keep him. Even if he's going to leave in 3 years when his contract is up. However, if Melo suddenly decides we're not an option? Different story, depends on what the compensation is.

    Under the same restrictions, I still voted yes. I think there would have been creative ways being used to sidestep some of the debt structure mess and I think the renovations would have been started long ago. I also think that he would have told Theo to go apeshit on IFA's last year, instead of barely going over the limit. And my guess is at least one of Darvish or Tanaka would be a Cub right now. He would have taken risks that Ricketts won't,

    I blame GarPax much more than I blame Thibs actually. But I definitely will wait until I see more success from Thibs in the playoffs before I buy in totally on him.

    Does Lebron have a history of plantar or any injuries, for that matter? Sometimes you need to know your personnel. Its obvious that THIS team has looked worn down in the playoffs. Unless you just agree they're not that talented, with or without Rose. The bottom line is the team, as constructed, didn't come close to beating Miami in year 1, then has been injury-riddled since and over matched in the playoffs. Change is needed. Plenty of it, if they want to be a legit title contender.

    One more Rose injury and he's Mark Prior. Personally, I hate the fact he's already on a max deal and we're stuck for 3 years longer holding our breath he can get and stay healthy.

    Here's my question: Everyone seems to have known about his overt racism for quite a while. So why were players OK with things prior to this, if it were basically a known fact long before, stemming from Elgin, the other lawsuits, etc? I'm glad to see the [expletive] finally get what's coming to him, but everyone knew this previously and it should have happened long ago.

    Same. And if Hoffman is hurt, 4 is Grant Holmes for me, unless Beede really turns things around.

    I asked the question, assuming Hoffman is the guy left at 4. And I like him quite a bit, if he comes back from his two week layoff OK. He obviously has way more upside than Nola does, but Nola likely has the higher floor and outside of Rodon, may be the safest player in the draft to reach a ML rotation and stick. At 19, I'm thinking of a HS SP with top 10 bonus demands. (Using Touki as example-Vandy commit and a top 20 talent that has upside)) It may literally be the only names that fit this actually-Hoffman and a guy like Sean Reid-Foley(solid top 30-40 talent) versus Nola and Touki. I could probably be swayed here, due to the high floor of Nola, coupled with Hoffman's concerns. But maybe I'm letting injury affect my thinking too much here.

    And Nola is up to 6. if Aiken, Rodon,and Kolek are off the board, I think I'd take Nola or Jackson over Hoffman. I just really like Nola. Ugh, no. If you're going to draft a pitcher in the top 5, you want one with an ace ceiling. While I agree with that, IF Nola is a guy who's willing to take 12th pick money at pick 4-And you can get a Touki type arm in the 2nd that falls solely due to bonus demands, I'd seriously consider it. Hypothetical-would you prefer to get numbers 4 and 33 on your big board or 11 and 19?

    100% That was my guess too. This could really drag on a long time. The legal expert on ESPN.com said he has 0% chance of winning a lawsuit. Good. But I can see an [expletive] like him just trying to drag [expletive] out as long as humanly possible.
