  1. I'd take that and run. I like that a lot.
  2. [tweet] [/tweet]
  3. I want Lester to horsefeathering kick the ball to a base at this point.
  4. From what I'm hearing, wouldn't be shocked if the Cubs completed a deal today / in the next 24 hours. In fact, I'd put the chances of a deal going down before tomorrow midday at well above 50 percent. Rien Watt
  5. Sources: The Diamondbacks have let teams know Shelby Miller is available in a trade. Price isn't nearly what it cost them eight months ago.- Passan
  6. And Levine says Cleveland has the best offer on the table, according to an MLB source.
  7. Yeah, he's probably Peralta all over again. I've got real hopes on Matusz though.
  8. There's just no [expletive] way And isn't it a woman? Maybe, but a quick glance isn't reliable enough.
  9. it's probably the "i had him on my fantasy team" bias talking, but i want nothing to do with pineda. and i know his peripherals look pretty good other than serving up HR like it's BP. I kind of just threw them out there. I'm OK with them, but I'm envisioning a better SP addition than that. Some semblance of a minor league pitching prospect coming back instead would be A-OK with me. But the Yanks dont have much in that department that I like.
  10. Feelings aside on Chapman, Torres is too much for 2 months of him. I hope we get Eovaldi or Pineda, if we head down this road.
  11. I'm not mad. I'm just disappointed.
  12. Richard has serious horsefeathers on Theo, Rickets, Maddon, or all 3.
  13. He's still pissed at Javy for taking him deep in Game 4. And there's literally no chance Javy even knows who he is.
  14. Here are seven teams that have what it takes to pull off a Chris Sale trade https://t.co/HRBBiIlCUC https://t.co/JC7HTaJVBJ Ours is Torres, Happ, Jimenez, Warren, and Edwards......
  15. What would he do if the wind is blowing out on his start day?
  16. Smear campaign? You couldn't just say he's sick lol? He's definitely more likely to be dealt than what I originally thought.
  17. Tampa wants Glasnow and Meadows for Archer, per Rosenthal.
  18. I'm not convinced Archer is an ace moving forward. No one truly can be. Colome has very solid value in his own right. It'd definitely cost a top 100 type and a top 10 in a system type for JUST him. Getting him and Archer together? I'd love it, but I think its very unrealistic. Archer's a much, much better bet for that status than either Moore or Odorizzi. The precedent's there recently for a high quality/ceiling reliever going with an established player or SP in a trade with Hamels/Diekman, Heyward/Walden, and Shields/Davis, and you'd certainly be paying enough for a good but not really uncommon enough type of reliever like Colome in a hypothetical Archer trade. Solid points. Age and contract-wise, none of those comps truly match up. But its enough of a reminder for me to have a bit of hope, at least.
  19. I think I'd be OK with giving up a ransom for him. I think I'd take Odorizzi or Moore, plus Colome, if the cost was the same. Nope nope, get the ace and run I think they can get Colome with Archer anyway. I'm not convinced Archer is an ace moving forward. No one truly can be. Colome has very solid value in his own right. It'd definitely cost a top 100 type and a top 10 in a system type for JUST him. Getting him and Archer together? I'd love it, but I think its very unrealistic.
  20. I am ignoring any contrary evidence to prop up the fantasy that Archer is the target we're after. - He's past the injury nexus and has proven to be durable, but he still has 3-5 years of team control - His performance this year should suppress his value a bit(or cause the Rays to doubt enough to pull the trigger on dealing him) but it's still plenty logical to see him as a TOR guy moving forward - Soler being a main piece makes sense given their OF situation and also explains the Reddick/Bruce rental rumors - The Dodgers' interest could be manufactured(they'll trade prospects when they're cold and dead from TJS thank you very much) to try and drive up the price - Tampa wouldn't shy away from taking better prospects at lower levels, so Torres could be another main piece I think I'd be OK with giving up a ransom for him. I think I'd take Odorizzi or Moore, plus Colome, if the cost was the same.

  22. So, Levine says the two teams we're talking to the most are Tampa and Oakland.
  23. Structural integrity; if the hope is to eat that as a sandwich, surely it would collapse if you're trying to pick it up and it's been soaking in maple syrup. Probably best to cook it in with the pancake in this situation. To me, if you can't hand eat, its not likely a sammich. Syrup unsammiches this one, IMO.
