  1. Kurkjian just mentioned it on the broadcast......No names.
  2. My thoughts exactly. It was almost like Theo/Jed got a hold of him and said "hey dumb [expletive] we aren't trading Schwarber, this is what you are going to say on air today." They should tell him to beat that info into Olney also. Actually, Olney followed it up with......I get it, Schwarber is a lefty, middle of the order bat, that's 30/100 year in, year out. Can't trade that for a relief pitcher.
  3. Oh man, you have to be impressed with the patience here. The dichotomy of how the brain works always fascinates me. More so, with the dim, than with the intelligent. So, to put in perspective......SC was always getting nuggied/wedgied for bad baseball thoughts put out into the universe in the douchiest way possible. As evidenced by the vitriol of his "I told you so!!!!!!" from earlier.(I wonder if all of us adopted this new fangled pat your own back option at every option.....Nah, most of us are right more than once every year. Nevermind. But seriously, ask yourself this: If you WERE only right ONCE a year......Would you have the discipline to wait MONTHS to throw it out there. If so, is there more to it? Is he running down the street naked right now in pure jubilation, set to Chariots of Fire? Has he hurt his non dominant hand to vicious self high fiving? I'm not sure, but his mind wobbles at the options he has on such a day. Just hope he's careful enough with his frivolities today. I applaud the patience, the forethought, go have a day! Maybe, if you have current human interaction, share this with them. It can be your present to them! Oh, and Heyward is going to be fine. You may have jumped the gun on being right.
  4. To us,(Thank God) Javy has more value than an A Ball Pitcher. My guess is Gausman on the other end of the deal, but this speculation is kind of dumb, especially since THAT team wasn't going to do the deal either.
  5. God horsefeathering damn! Choking horsefeathering assholes
  6. Just depends on what we can take on. I'd much prefer taking on the contract, in order to give up less talent. 30 mill a year though is a chunk. I doubt we've got THAT kind of flexibility and I doubt Stewart is going to give him up cheaply either.
  7. Desipio-Hey @cardinals thanks for the free shipping on my new custom jersey! Might be 37 with good behavior. https://t.co/zlPSGj0rqr
  8. Happ isn't blocked at all. First, he's not likely to see the majors before the second half of next season. Maybe not until early 2018. But he can play 2B and the OF, so he'll fit right in with all the versatility we have. Zobrist COULD fall off at some point relatively soon and we've got the option of moving Javy or Happ into the 2B spot at that point, with the other filling the role Javy has now. To me, Torres is the easiest of our top 3 prospects to move. He may finally be the Middle Infielder we can't find a spot for, by the time he's ready.
  9. LA Stella has options. Easy choice to send down, if it comes to that.
  10. Has Sharma ever broken any sort of story/sourced rumor that ended up being true? I remember him predicting a lot of wrong things, but he was never really reporting them as sourced rumor either...just what he thought would/wouldn't happen. I've never gotten the sense that he's very connected. Just a notch or two above a blogger type. I can't remember anything he's actually broken, that came to fruition. But I think he was the first to say we were interested in Teheran last deadline. I know he's brought up interest in different IFA's. I just figure now that he's traveling quite often covering them now, he's likely to have decent info.
  11. Remember, Sharma was acting like they were trying to trade Seal Boy. My guess is they accomplish that and/or move Soler before he makes it back to the team.
  12. Blackburn goes 6 2 1 0 3 7. I doubt its with us, but I think he's got a decent major league career ahead of him. Tseng too, for that matter.
  13. He had to be sure the Astros weren't stealing the Cardinal Way.
