I'm not convinced Archer is an ace moving forward. No one truly can be. Colome has very solid value in his own right. It'd definitely cost a top 100 type and a top 10 in a system type for JUST him. Getting him and Archer together? I'd love it, but I think its very unrealistic. Archer's a much, much better bet for that status than either Moore or Odorizzi. The precedent's there recently for a high quality/ceiling reliever going with an established player or SP in a trade with Hamels/Diekman, Heyward/Walden, and Shields/Davis, and you'd certainly be paying enough for a good but not really uncommon enough type of reliever like Colome in a hypothetical Archer trade. Solid points. Age and contract-wise, none of those comps truly match up. But its enough of a reminder for me to have a bit of hope, at least.
