  1. [tweet] [/tweet] Damnit. Thought I heard Javy call Dempster, Brian. Never mind.
  2. I really don't think you can say the O-Line is a strength. Long is injury-prone, even if the interior IS a strength, that's got to be taken into account. I don't remember the PFF numbers for Leno and Massie, but I think they graded out OK. Still, I truly don't think you can count on that to happen again. This group needs to do it again. They're just not thought of as anything more than serviceable and i'd say its fair to say that the tackles need to thought of as better than serviceable, for your line to be a true strength. To me, its POSSIBLE, I guess, that it CAN wind up one. But, I really wouldn't feel nearly well enough to consider it a strength right now.
  3. With these guys getting tagged or signed......There's a bunch of teams out there with LOTS of money to spend. Its going to be extremely hard to add the impact needed to put yourself into a spot you're expecting to contend.... Add in the fact that Alshon is leaving and you're adding another true need to the equation.... No idea what the mindset is, but its not looking realistic to load up on FA, since the class is pretty weak and teams have tons of cash too. I guess I'm hoping for a big FA upgrade at CB and S, with a few fill ins elsewhere? WR are expensive as hell in FA and outside of Alshon and Pryor, I'm not exactly enamored with any of them. I think I'm REALLY pulling for a trade down to add a 2nd rounder. Maybe you can still get a QB between 6-10? I wasn't even FOR taking a QB. But Taylor seems like he may be staying put. Garoppolo is going to cost too much.... This just doesn't look good.
  4. Letting Alshon go.....I can't see Pryor getting away from Cleveland, if with them not tagging him. I'm sure we'll sign a WR. But, I don't see them putting big money into any of this FA group. Is Mike Williams in play for us now? A trade down could make him a legit possibility..... But a QB/WR combo in the 1st and 2nd seems like a decent possibility at this stage.....
  5. Post more. You always have interesting stuff. My honest opinion is Cleveland or San Fran will beat our offer, based on where they pick.
  6. Bogdanovic is a RFA. I think he's maybe the best under 30 guy. Korver and Redick are both FA's too though.
  7. That's flat out embarrassing. Morrow handled it with class. Way more than he should have.
  8. He's a FA at the end of the year and the Bulls definitely don't have a Bosio lol. In all honesty though, the differences between Theo/Jed versus GarPax.......Holy horsefeathers. I know we're spoiled by the Cubs FO, but I seriously wouldn't be surprised if GarPax is bottom 10, counting all 3 major sports.

  10. Really like this. 1)Must mean he's healthy and 2) that's an under the market deal for sure, with prices getting goofy on some guys now.
  11. Looking ahead to the draft, here are a few guesses at teams and possible packages for Jimmy Celtics- 2017 Brooklyn pick, Bradley, Brown Suns- 2017 pick, Warren, Bender Sixers- Okafor, 2017 pick, Lakers 2017 pick if outside top 3 Nuggets- Mudiaye, Murray, 2017 pick Portland has 3 1sts this draft, but not much else. Atlanta tried throwing a bunch of 1sts for Butler yesterday. If we can deal with Thibs, their 2017 pick, Dunn, and future picks? I know the idea is 4 assets, but after seeing some of the rumored packages, maybe its not quite 4, unless the 4th is just some future pick of undetermined value.
  12. The fun thing about the Kings trying to tank is at least everyone underneath them will be doing the same.
  13. Just one game, but after averaging 6 and 3 in 13 minutes a game, Cauley-Stein goes for 29 and 10 in 35 minutes. The Kings won big at home against Denver. Their next 3 are Charlotte, Minnesota, and Brooklyn, all at home too. It'd be funny as hell if losing Cousins is addition by subtraction. I'm sure they'll fold, but it'd be funny as horsefeathers if we somehow still got their pick.
  14. The rumor I read said the Celtics didn't want to do the deal because of Crowder. I like Crowder, would have enjoyed him on the Bulls, but not including him for Butler seems silly if that's what happened (I haven't really read rumor stuff today) I actually can see why Boston doesn't want to move him. They've got him for 3/22 after this season. That's an insanely valuable contract to have on a competing team. Bradley only has 1/8.8 left. I'd definitely be wanting to move Bradley between the 2, if I'm the Celts. Crowder isn't a star, but he's pretty good. That contract though? What IS his value on that deal? Top 7-10 pick? That's my uneducated guess.
  15. That deal is on the low end of what I'd deem fair. If the Celts turned that down, I'm a bit surprised honestly. The PC didn't really make it sound like Jimmy is safe. Draft time should be extremely interesting. And it sounds like we will see lots of Portis and Valentine moving forward this year. Pax threw Thibs under the bus on the McDermott trade up and draft.
  16. What IS the lineup now? C Lopez, Felicio PF Portis, Lauvergne?, Mirotic SF Butler, Zipser SG Wade, Valentine, Morrow PG MCW, Grant, Payne, Rondo......No horsefeathering clue At least this move ought to give Portis and Valentine plenty of minutes? Not that's its a good thing. But we don't technically know its a bad thing, I guess.
  17. Lots of volatility between 6-8(with teams outside still having a chance too). No way to tell that yet.
  18. Nah, I'm already wrong on Trubisky. He's going top 5 supposedly now for sure. That hopefully is the worst hot take of my message board year. So, I have beaten your early season Bulls take with ease, in my mind lol I can see Wade not wanting to uproot after a year. But, I can also see him getting 2/30 or so from a contender and saying horsefeathers this horsefeathers too.
  19. And there's the mic drop of pure stupidity.
  20. That's kind of the impression. Paxson supposedly is the one guy in the FO wanting to rebuild too. I wonder if Paxson has the authority to fire Gar? A potential problem for this is that Reinsdorf and Forman's wives are extremely tight.
  21. Can't wait to hear them talk about how the retool is looking good. This move is going to piss off Jimmy and Wade probably/hopefully. My guess is Wade opts out and Jimmy gets moved during the draft, to one of Philly, Phoenix, or Boston.
  22. That's kind of the impression. Paxson supposedly is the one guy in the FO wanting to rebuild too.
  23. Gasol staying put was horsefeathering laughable. That Sacramento pick would look nice right now. Hell, McLemore could have been interesting....
