  1. In the middle of the last page, I listed everyone that we have been rumored with. I'm updating it and have the players age and their star rating from WalterFootball listed. No idea why I'm using WF, but its probably as good as any of them outside of PFF, which I don't have.....
  2. I saw an interesting trade thrown out by someone, although its probably not something most on here would like.....Pick 3 for pick 10, Tyrod Taylor, the Bills 2nd and 6th, and their 3rd next year..... I guess Buffalo supposedly likes Trubisky. At 10, there'd be a QB sitting there, or any number of defensive options.(maybe even Allen falls that far). And if you need to, you can package your 2nd, with Buffalo's, to move back into the 1st, if you feel the need to get one of these QB's..... LOL at that trade scenario. Bills can't be that stupid. If that is somehow offered, I hope Pace takes it. With Taylor actually being a QB that you can feel comfortable with and is under contract for 5 more years iirc, you can really get creative and build up your starter/depth talent with 6 picks in the top ~110 and have a future 3rd on top of that. I'm not even sure I would pick a QB if it went this way. If someone drop to them in the 2nd or 3rd and he's BPA, then sure, pick the guy, but I wouldn't trade up to get a QB. Just Taylor alone should bring back a ton imo. Well, as much as I like Taylor, he's very possibly getting cut within the next few days. So, his actual trade value is definitely not much. I "think" using the TV chart is outdated a bit. But, you're looking at a 900 point differential to make up(2200-1300) from 3 to 10.....Buffalo's 2nd takes up 460. Their 6th takes up 20ish points. The 3rd next year is hard to figure....They're 3rd THIS year is worth 200-220ish. But, I think a future picks value is literally cut in half, by what I've heard in the past. Even if its worth the same as a current pick, that deal equates to be about 200 points short. Which then gives Taylor a mid 3rd round trade value. If you devalue the future pick, it raises Taylors value to a late 2nd. For a guy that's probably 70/30 in favor of getting cut in a few days. Like I said, I'd do it. But, its not great value, IMO. But, Taylor basically on a 2/30 deal seems much, much more palatable than Glennon on around the same thing.
  3. Not sure what you mean? Glennon is a guy the Bears would be using as a stopgap starter anyway.....QB is obviously still a longterm need, but its not do or die to take one at 3 this year. Or am I just not understanding what you're saying? you say suing Glennon makes it possible to go BPA in draft when in fact they can go BPA regardless of Glennon. Yeah, you're right. He's the epitomy of a stopgap. He won't influence their longterm QB decision-making.(hopefully at least)

  5. I would LOVE to trade down. I just don't see a team trading up to 3. What are they moving up FOR? Fournette is one popular trade up theory I've seen. One of the QBs could be another posibility. 6. If we arent sold on a QB at 3 a trade down would be pretty apealing for the right price. I would LOVE to trade down. I just don't see a team trading up to 3. What are they moving up FOR?
  7. If we get Glennon, a top end CB like Gilmore, a RT(Wagner), a WR(Jeffery)and a S...... It pretty much allows for true BPA. You can take a QB at 3, if you want. Or any sort of defensive playmaker. At any rate, it'd tell me we can take a QB inside the first 4 rounds almost definitely, along with a CB, a TE, and depth elsewhere.....
  8. I expect we will take at least one pitcher at 27 or 30. Maybe a guy that's fallen to signing demands or a very high profile guy that's hurt. McLeod's recent comments on percentages of rotations filled by first round picks seemed like a definite hint to me.
  9. My official thoughts I'm OK if they bring back Hoyer. I'd be happy with Harmon. The draft is loaded with TE's, I think I prefer that route. Stills is young, but I think I'm a "no" on him. I like Cordarelle enough as a returner to put up with him as a 3/4 WR. I guess Holmes is a ST guy too, but I don't know enough about him.
  10. So, here's the list of known targets, as of now..... RT Ricky Wagner(Lions sign)-27(3.5)Riley Reiff-28(2.5) Austin Pasztor-26(2) QB Mike Glennon-27(2) Brian Hoyer-(San Fran signs)31(2) CB Stephon Gilmore-26(3.5),AJ Bouye-26(4) S DJ Swearinger-26(2.5), Duron Harmon-26(2), Micah Hyde-26(3) TE Jack Doyle(Colts resign), Dion Sims-26(1.5) WR Alshon Jeffery-27(3.5, Kenny Stills(Dolphins resign)-25(2), Cordarelle Patterson-26-(2.5), Andre Holmes-29(1.5) Brandon LaFell(Bengals resign)-30(1.5)
  11. I agree and think they DO take him. I just used him because I have 3 definite defensive guys I'd take over Lattimore and that's all that's needed to not use a pick on him at 3, from my personal list.
  12. I like Lattimore. But he also tweaked his hamstring right after running and has had hamstring issues in the past. A bit too much risk to take at 3 for me. A trade down to the 8-10 range? Yeah, he's a definite possibility in that range. That said, I don't see a team trading up with us. I think if a player that you like is there where you are picking and he won't be there the next time you pick and you can't find a trade partner, you take the guy you want. That's fine. In THAT case, I'd much prefer any of Garrett, Adams, or Hooker at 3. Maybe still Allen too. Injuries suck, but I don't see Hooker's being a long term impediment, so I'd still feel at least a bit more comfy at 3, with him, over Lattimore. P!us, I like the depth at CB much more in the draft, than at any other defensive position.
  13. Adam Jahns mentions we're interested in Kenny Stills and Dion Sims..... I kind of like Sims, but I think we can use a mid round pick on a TE and wind up as good or better off. Adam Shaheen intrigues the horsefeathers out of me. Stills? He's young. But damn, he drops a bunch of balls. Keep Alshon or get Pryor. I'm fairly unhappy with anything less than one of those two.

  15. Its again looking like Buffalo is going to get rid of Taylor. His 2018 option vests on 3/11, giving him about 2/30 guaranteed. Cleveland looks to be extremely interested in him. He's worlds better than Glennon. I'd give up a 2018 4th or so, just to get him on his current deal, over paying Glennon the same money. Hell, Glennon may cost MORE than just a two year definite cap hit.
  16. At this point, I think my ideal draft goes Adams, QB in the 2nd(or trade up in the late 1st) and a TE like Leggett or Butt. If we can add Wagner to the O-Line? I'd like that a lot. Gilmore to the secondary? Absolutely on board with that. Glennon? Eh. Not thrilled. But OK with it, since it still allows you to draft a QB early too. I really hope we find a way to keep Alshon from hitting the market. If the 1st round pick is NOT Adams(or Hooker), I'd love to see Jefferson or Cyprian, or Swearinger, or SOMEONE pretty solid added.
  17. Wonder how many more guys will pick up teams? I'll take Buffalo as my 2nd team and if we need to add 3rd teams, I'm in.
  18. He's still a stopgap. Signing him doesn't mean you're not still addressing the position longterm. It COULD mean you wait a year to draft your future QB. But, that's about it. The only true negative possibility in signing Glennon is how many years does he hurt your cap? If its two or just one, I'd have no issue with the signing. Because we're moving on from Cutler and we aren't going to throw a rookie out there..... Honest question though.....Does he truly give you a better year than Hoyer would? Because the difference in money and contract is going to be substantial.....
  19. Maybe nothing.....But, if the Bears do sign Glennon, but could somehow get Kizer at 36.....I'd talk myself into being OK with the Glennon move. Webb seems to have impressed enough to move into a definite 2nd round pick. Peterman and Kayya seem to be moving into late 2nd, early 3rd territory too..... Personally, I think my cutoff is one of the top 4. Although Webb falling into the 3rd or 4th wouldn't be a bad get....
  20. Pace trying to spend all the cap money. And get himself fired?
  21. It'd be insane to see him fall to 3. If he makes it past Cleveland, I'd have to think San Fran takes him. We're kind of in an odd spot at 3, IMO. If Trubisky and Garrett go 1-2, in some order.....Who's the p!at at 3? Allen is far from a slam dunk now, with his injuries..... Is it Adams or Hooker? I'm starting to think it may be Adams. Especially since Hooker is hurt too currently. In fact, I could see Adams being 2 on our board, after Garrett. A trade down would be great, but I don't know who someone would want to move to 3 to trade FOR? Another QB? Fournette? I think we're probably stuck.
  22. Some recent rumors, Bears-related and more..... Bears are going after Glennon, who turned down 8+ mill to stay in Tampa. Also going to go after Gilmore, expected to be around 13 mill per..... Browns are strongly considering Trubisky at 1-1. Cooks may be dealt for a 2nd rounder. (Definitely in, at that price) Pace said they're NOT reaching for a QB, will go with board rankings. Jonathan Allen has mild arthritis in shoulder.
  23. Yeah, GT is one of the first 4 out(or was as of a day or two ago) with Lunardi.
  24. Glennon is going to get pretty big money from someone. I think I've seen 12-15 mill per from guys estimating his salary. The Bears certainly have the cap space and it could technically buy us another year before taking a QB early in the draft(or even allow us to see if a guy drops close to our 2nd rounder.... But, he'd likely have a huge cap hit, if you cut him after a year too. So, I don't know what to think..... I'm honestly not sold he'll suck. I'm just not sold he's really deserving of a starters gig and THAT money either.
  25. I'll help with the Bears. I've taken the Bengals a few times out of need, so I'll take them again and if I need to take another team, I'm willing.....
