  1. Ramirez eaten alive by Berkman bouncing grounder
  2. I would think so. Especially because it was a poor call.
  3. That photo gives me all the hope in the world
  4. Both pitchers pitching well. Marshall on the short end of a 1 hitter. Samson's 1 hitter was bogus, it was clearly an error. 1-0. Cubs offense looking horrendous as usual. EDIT: I shouldn't say Samson is pitching well. We really haven't seen any pitches!
  5. I was gonna say, amidst all of this crappy baseball, George Clooney poses an interesting question: What is drinkability?
  6. I'm not happy. These pathetic slugs need to be shamed into changing their approach. Nothing good can happen from breaking up a shut out in the 9th or escaping a no-hitter against a minor leaguer. Why does it matter? Even if they got litterally embarrased by a no hitter dusty would just say "gotta tip your cap dude" and his attitude would rub off onto the players as "just something that happens sometimes". This approach and the "tipping of caps" will not end until dustworthless is gone!! I actually laughed out loud at this - it's so true! Brenly said the players like Dusty because he defends them, but there comes a point where it's tough to defend them! haha
  7. I'm willing to bet that came from the dugout, but mostly because I love murton EDIT: I wasn't looking and assumed it was a bunt. I guess it was just a crappy swing
  8. And it's been that way for years. Stupid approaches by stupid players led by a stupid manager. Count me in as well, their refusal to adjust their collective approach based on a given pitcher' pattern, etc. is beyond stupid. I'd like them to go with some pitches...outside to right field. The outs are bad, but when its 2-0 and you ground out weakly...that's just bad decisions It's common sense with a young pitcher on the mound you have to show more patience. Why help them out in any way or let them get into a grove. Make them prove they can throw Strikes at the big league level. Other teams do that do our young kids...Just don't get it... "Everybody in baseball knows that minor league pitchers are the hardest guys to hit - those guys just come out throwing"
  9. Another K, Marshall looking pretty good outside of the Ausmus bomb
  10. I wonder if someone said something to Pierre about his bunting. He hasn't laid one down in a while
  11. Dang, don't tell me im going to be slow today as well
  12. JJ looked awfully close to Blanco in that shot, hahaha
  13. Sitting Jones today while playing him last night is completely assinine. That's just further proof that Dusty pays no attention to statisics whatsoever. That is of course, assuming Jones didn't come in and ask for the day off or something due to soreness.
  14. What was the problem? Barrett needed a rest, and Hank went 1-2 (which was a 2B) and actually walked in 3 PA. I know he's been horrendous this season, but when Barrett needs a day off, it's gotta be Blanco in there. At the very least, we can be assured he will hit 8th and play well defensively.
