Lmao, Jason Bere. My two greatest in-attendance memories were the NL WC clincher in '98 (where people were dancing atop buses afterwards), and the infamous game 6, which left me discouraged, but feeling optomistic about the next day. Gee, I wonder how that will turn out? :( Barrett starts a fight with Oswalt in the top 2nd inning, both players are tossed. Rusch beans berkman in the bottom of the 2rd, both are tossed. guzman pitches the rest of the game and gives up 3 runs, hank white hits a gw grandslam in the top of the 9th. but i could be wrong The Astros would be batting in the top of the 9th. :lol: Hahaha I love how that's the only thing you found wrong with that scenario. I might have seen it coming, but the reality of this situation is really unfortunate from a sentimental standpoint. I love the guy, and the fact of the matter is, we're probably going to be better off trading him. Carlos Marmol, your table is ready.

Those are also the only seasons he managed an under 500 team. Johnson wins. He has the ability to relate to players and talk the game in a language they understand, but he isn't opposed to using stats and computer print-outs, yet he isn't quite viewed as a "sabermetric" guy. Johnson would be an excellent choice as manager and probably better than most choices out there. It's a shame he's no longer available. The numbers you posted look similar to Baker's. I'm not saying that he wouldn't be better than Dusty (nooo way), but managerial records do not necessarily tell the whole story all the time.
