    Wait, what happened? I just turned the game on... Fox had a super-closeup of Kenny Rogers where you could clearly see pine tar or some brown substance on his left hand. McCarver pointed it out and circled it. Hmm, I hope they show it again. That sounds like a huge problem to me. But then again, for a lot of people, when hitters cheat, its disrespectful to the game. When pitchers cheat, it's clever and funny.

    Do we have to hear that song every 7th inning stretch? Why can't we just honor America before the game with the National Anthem and baseball during the game with Take Me Out to the Ballgame? I think there are much better sounding patriotic songs (such as America the Beautiful) anyway, if we're going for the patriotism during. Why do you hate America? Hahaha. Not America, just its most overrated song. It's based on another country's national anthem for God's sake!

    verlander probably wasn't a great choice given his down the stretch and playoff performance. what's shocking is how well Reyes has pitched. It has to do with him being a Cardinals pitcher. If he was on any other team, he would suck. But since he plays for the stupid mythical cardinals, he's all the sudden a superstar. Yeah, and I don't know why you wouldnt put Rogers in there...

    Encarnacion hits a bouncing ball to 3rd, Inge bobbles it throws wild home, Edmonds scores. Rolen makes a huge turn around 3rd and goes out of his way to run into Inge and is awarded home plate for obstruction. Buck wonders how Rolen's shoulder is going to feel after that collision. 7-1 Cardinals

    Yeah, so ND barely gets by yet another unranked team they "should have" destroyed. Once again, Notre Dame is overhyped. They're good, but by no means a championship contender.

    No, I'm not kneejerking, but after this season, it's time for Northwestern to look for a new coach. Yes, Nick Roach was knocked out of the game. Yes, our longsnapper sucks. But just a complete coaching meltdown on the part of Fitz and his staff. Awful.

    I would say 2004 is up there with the best. That team was absolutely STACKED, especially after Hendry pulled off the Nomar deal at the deadline. I was certain we were on our way.

    I tend to think that's pretty accurate. I think they're responsible for defensive positioning, but that's all I know.
