  1. They should keep it green and gold.
  2. Reynolds had 32/99 in 2010.
  3. If I had to guess, a combination of being senile and stubborn.
  4. A *sprain* and a tear are the same thing, and both are ligament related. A strain is muscle related.
  5. Now they're saying they're not sure if it's a strain or sprain due to the press release and press conference differing. Big difference, so hopefully it gets cleared up.
  6. All that cash and not one watch worth the price. Buy a Patek or something, you [expletive] heathens.

  12. It's sad that I have to hope he does poorly otherwise various people are going to go on and on about how he would have been a Cub if Theo didn't wait too long and let Garza get hurt. I hope he does poorly so I can say that he stinks.
  13. I'd go so far as to say it's preferable. The only downside is that dumbass fans read into everything an athlete says, and player meatball statements can therefore further instill meatballism and all of its ills into the unwashed masses of fandom. But then again, there will always be dumbass fans. And if the player says non-meatball things those same fans and media members will ride him for being soft or something. Well the thinking is, if every player said non-meatball things, or if most players didn't, you could help elevate the discussion a bit. But that's pretty utopian. ETA: Besides, if there weren't meatball fans, I wouldn't be able to feel smug when discussing player value in the bleachers.
