  1. If we have to have a hitter pitch, who would you pick?
  2. Yes!! You know he's pitching the 14th.
  3. And for us draft guys, Vitters and co. did this against Christian Friedrich who gave up 5 runs in 4 innings.
  4. Nice job by Vitters tonight finishing 3/4 and getting up that average to a pretty .324.
  5. Sounds like his teammates in Cincinatti definately weren't part of that support group: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/baseball/al/rangers/2008-07-02-Hamilton_N.htm
  6. Said we had contacted them recently but were rebuffed because the Padres don't want to sell low. Mentioned no names.
  7. Never realized it, but Sheets is also a strict 2 pitch pitcher (FB/CV). Does anyone know if he was always like this or if he recently dropped a pitch or two from his arsenal?
  8. It's like you type what we all are thinking 8-) Though, IMO, Hendry was using the Gallagher "untouchable" label at the beginning of the negotiations just to make him more appealing to Beane when we decided to "actually" make him available. If i'm Hendry, I know once I "budge" on Gallagher it's less likely Beane would ask for more players on top of that since you've already and made a player available to him that he thought he wouldn't originally get. At least that's what I would have done.
  9. He could still be a very useful glove to have. I like the prospect of buying low on guys, though in this case it seems like the Padres won't sell low.
  10. Colorado thinks Fuentes will fetch type A status so they have said they want close to that same value for him. Marquis doesn't fit that description.
  11. Pittsburgh comes right back and leads by 1.
  12. The Giants offense was the Giants offense yesterday, it was poor pitching and fielding by Marmol and Theriot that made it look better than it was for about 10 minutes. I agree, i'm just saying that it needs to continue. I guess I worded that wierdly.
  13. I'm hoping the Giants offense will be the Giants offense today. Because it needs to be.
  14. Looking forward to watching Wellington for the first time.
  15. So..I was watching the game at BDubs today so I didn't have chance to fully analyze every pitch and what not. Can anyone tell me if he was mainly using Fastball/Changeup? With a few sliders? With no sliders? Thanks.
