    Too true... :( It'd almost be painful to have the number 1 pick and have to "suffer" threw every single 100+pitch start hoping he doesn't blow his elbow out. Well, not painful, but stressful.

    There's some rumblings from CCO that Junior Lake might even be bigger than 6'5 now.

    Frazier homered twice in his first game. Slightly different view: Probably a pretty simple comparison to make solely off bat speed, but he's got a little Baez in that swing.

    Just looked up a bit on Gatewood. A 6'5 shortstop? That's unique, assuming he has a shot to stick.

    The age thing is that he is possibly younger than reported, and bumped his age up so he could meet the rules to be a normal FA. There were some DOB's from earlier that listed him as a year younger. His agent said those aren't credible and denies everything.

    At this early point i'm taking Frazier with Manea/Appel tied at #2 depending on what they do this year. Something about Frazier I like, and he seems to give off that Almora kind of feel where you'd think the FO could really fall in love him.

    Doesn't make sense to me why Teo would come out tomorrow, the day after the ND AD went on record at the press conference that T'eo knew nothing about this (after he had personally sat down and talked to Teo). If Teo being gay is true, then he'd clearly be fully in on this hoax. Based on everything i've gathered (especially some of those prior twitter convos with people making jokes at Teo's expense), my best guess is that Teo was legitimately duped. But, there's a decent chance he's still at fault since things point to him finding out it was a hoax in December, yet not telling anyone and still going through with the interviews, etc. He probably contemplated telling people, creating a big ****storm right before the National Title game, and looking like a dumbass (which he still will); or just hoping it faded away with time (and probably only mentioning to close family). Telling people would obviously be the moral thing to do, but you can probably see his logic behind just hoping it became a forgotten story. Just my 2 cents on it. Though him being friends with the guy who ran her profile could be cause for suspicion.

    BN linked an article saying Hairston is actually only wanting 4 annually for 2 years. And he was offerred 2 million annually.

    Some people think that price actually meant 8 million annual (obviously too much). Heyman's tweets aren't clear.

    i could be wrong, but isn't everybody showing this out of context? when it happened live i thought they showed the full thing as him reacting to the ruling on the field and flipping out, and wasn't flipping out at mccarthy. I thought that at first, but they later showed another view where he clearly saw McCarthy throw the flag and what's-his-face secretly try to pick it up, so I think he thought McCarthy screwed them out of the challenge.

    ABTY said the Cubs are really ramping up their effort with Bourn and want to close on him. Think he said Seattle was offering slightly more but Cubs recently upped their offer to be right in that same neighborhood.

    Not that I have a particularly keen scouting eye, but the few times I saw Stanek I was slightly underwhelmed. Which kind of sucked since I loved the writeups on him. I might chalk it down to me watching on a very peculiar camera angle that I wasn't used to, though. Maybe it made his offspeed stuff look a bit flat.

    I haven't read anything other than a short summary, but it's kinda crazy to think an inch or so is all that stood between him and being 6 ft under.

    ABTY alluded to there being some conversation with SD involving Barney, possibly Marmol and/or other pieces for something involving Jedd Gyorko.

    Still think Kris Bryant is underrated and will be a top 3 guy come June. Assuming he can stick at 3rd.

    CCP just posted he's been sitting 87-89. Yeah, I'm not really in love with the ceiling of a guy who got demoted down a level from the previous year's. He pitched in AA for1 game and 3 innings, which I assume was at the end of the year for playoffs. And he actually skipped a level, going from A- to A+. Though you could argue A- was a cautious place to start him.
