  1. Zunino's kind of struggled in the PCL so far, though it could just be SSS/BABIP: .200/.305/.488
  2. He reminds me of a Mark Prior and Freddie Prince Jr. lovechild.
  3. Bryant bomb tonight. Can't wait to see Gray next week.
  4. Gray: 8IP/9hits/3runs/2ER/1BB/6K 8 FO / 7 GO

  6. I can't argue with you, honestly I think I let the brief firestorm of Strasburg forearm tightness last night remind me about the fragility of pitchers more than I should have.
  7. I've changed my mind about 10 times already for who I want, which at least means there probably won't be a choice that makes me mad come draft day. I'm kinda sorta leaning Bryant. After leaning Frazier, Appel, Gray, Appel, Bryant, Gray. Who knows where i'll end up in a month.
  8. But there are other variables - Appel is more advanced than Gray, Appel has more miles on his arm, can Gray maintain his recent increase in velocity, etc? Depends how far back you want to go, but Appel pitched out of the bullpen in highschool and out of the pen his freshman year for Stanford. It's pretty likely Gray has more mileage despite some occasional high pitch counts for Appel last year. Kind of semantics though, and depends if you think recent mileage is more of a concern than past mileage.
  9. Vogelbach up to 4-6 on the day. Hitting .315 now.

  11. Really liking Borbon so far (outside of the slides). Could be a pretty useful 4th outfielder. Even better that he's relatively young and came free.
  12. Thank you. I couldn't find anything on it.
  13. So...Gray didn't start tonight? Please tell me it's nothing.
  14. That slider/curve has a ton of bite too.
  15. One the pieces I read said Gray's fastball MPH have gone up every single season he's been pitching, all we need is two more years of development and he'll be sitting at 105 mph late in games.
  16. Law updated his top fifty: 4) Manea 5) Stewart 6) Bryant 7) Shipley http://insider.espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/9177224/mark-appel-jonathan-gray-top-prospects-2013-mlb-draft Fluff piece on Gray: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/story/_/id/9184897/oklahoma-jonathan-gray-climbed-mlb-draft-boards-spring-college-baseball
  17. Yes. I have hated it for as long as I have been watching baseball. Biggest play of the game and I can barely tell if it's a rocket to center or fouled straight back on initial contact.
  18. Does anyone else absolutely despise when they use the behind home plate cam?
  19. Did they remove the fork? 9.0
  20. And then write it off You don't even know what a write-off is.
  21. I still wonder if Frazier can play 3rd, as majority of the early reports said he had a good shot to stick before they switched him to CF. I wonder if his coach just thought he could show off his tools a bit more for scouts in CF compared to 3rd, or if there was a legitimate reason behind the move.
  22. Manaea ended up having a nice start on Saturday going 6 IP with 9K's and no walks, no runs.
