I only saw the last few innings, but it sure did seem that the ump was calling a very wide strike zone - he was giving Weaver all sorts of pitches on the outside. I'm sure he was doing the same for the Cubs, but my bias blinded me. The ump was Doug Eddings - go figure. -

I would have drafted him, but my league is a bunch of NSBB-ers, and Cubs got highly overdrafted. I think Rich went before I was willing to take him.

Given their ridiculous shooting so far this game, this is a pretty absurd statement. Good point. But they had missed six or seven in a row at that point. I know. They're lucky that UNC decided to stop scoring or running an offense of any appreciable kind for that period.

I can't see Noah without feeling immense disgust rise up inside, and for the life of me, I can't understand why. I mean, he seems like a bit of a jerk - real full of himself, but I REALLY can't stand him.

They said it was because he whined about Deon Thompson using his shoulder. I didn't see anything, so I can't say what I think about it, but I'll take it. Gotcha. Wish they had showed a replay - of course arguing/whining isn't as obvious on camera as ol' Pink Floyd's temper tantrum on Friday. I always wish they would show replays of most calls - and they rarely do.

Ahem. Second most talented team in the country. The most talented team in the country is going to lose to Georgetown in a few hours. ETA: Not that I didn't choose UNC to win the whole thing. I just think Georgetown is a more consistent team.

i initially had VCU winning in my brackets but then went back and changed it :( I did too. I thought for sure that Duke would come out and try to prove they aren't the worst Duke team in years. Oops. I did the same thing. I was perfect until this game, and I can honestly say that I've rarely been happier to be wrong.
