  1. some guys who obviously aren't in the top 5, but can be franchise players Elvis Andrus - holding your own offensively in the AL at age 20 is a great indicator of talent, and his glove is fantastic. could have a Rollins-type career. Jay Bruce - the bat's obviously good, but he also might already be best fielding RF in the game Madison Bumgarner & Tommy Hanson - Cy Young upside Clay Buchholz - i actually like him more than Price Matt LaPorta & Justin Smoak - can't miss impact bats and it's crazy how few top fives listed Mauer
  2. The playoffs are a crapshoot, you have admitted this. You cannot build a team to specifically win a crapshoot. You build the best team you can (97 wins), you prepare as best you can and then you take your chances. That's true, but it's a copout for this team. Don't act like they were just unlucky the last 2 seasons. They choked. They crapped their pants the second the postseason started. That's not Hendry's fault though. Hendry is the last person I'd blame for the playoffs. I blame the players and Lou. choking- check pants crapping- check now, say something about testicles quick and we've got all bases covered
  3. Kobe's flops make me cringe. just embarrassing
  4. dude Mojo can predict the future
  5. oh, well i guess if we somehow cherry pick all the at bats in his career in which he didn't register a hit, he has been kinda lousy
  6. Getting owned by the chief division rival which spent $55 million less than you tends to elecit these reactions. We just don't have good mental makeup this team just isn't built to win in late-May when the lights shine sort of bright
  7. it's .890 (.292/.390/.500) over the last five seasons. his age 22 suckitude means diddly poo; why you choose to continually embarrass yourself by citing career numbers is puzzling. Uhh, maybe it has something to do with the fact that he's played to those career numbers for many of the last several years. As in 2004, 2005, 2006, and part of 2007. Saying he's been an .890 OPS guy for the last 5 seasons is pretty ridiculous. He's been a 1.000 OPS hitter for the last 600 at-bats (before this season) spread out over the least 2 season and then played to his career totals the previous 3 seasons. for the better part of the last 5 years, he's played to his career totals. i just keep reading the phrase played to his career totals, whatever the hell that even means wait facts are ridiculous?
  8. the complaints were about his hitting, not health; try and keep up when he plays, he's not a run-of-the-mill RF. that's a ludicrous stance.
  9. that's a much better OPS than the last 5 years of Abreu, Ibanez btw
  10. it's .890 (.292/.390/.500) over the last five seasons. his age 22 suckitude means diddly poo; why you choose to continually embarrass yourself by citing career numbers is puzzling.
  11. we're on a 90-win pace, not really sure the rationale or reasoning behind mass panic
  12. beltre's actually not overpaid, but that's a different topic altogether
  13. Kronwall, Filppula, Helm, Ericsson and Leino have really bright futures. and if they can get Howard or Larsson in there, they're set up well to be dominant for another decade.
  14. i remember when Peyton Manning didn't "have what it takes to win in the playoffs" and Steve Yzerman and Jordan, too
  15. Cant tell if your kidding or not, but Rickie Weeks injury doesnt make us the favorites to win any more than Aramis going down makes the Brewers favorites to win. If Gamel becomes an every day player, this could make the Brewers offense better. i wasn't joking. the Brewers won't be much of a threat, unless they can trade for a frontline pitcher again.
  16. this all but assures us the division now, so in that regard, it's good fortune
  17. i don't know why people keep thinking Hanley needs to move off SS
  18. that's a bad ailment in combination with his Bad at Baseball Disorder
  19. how the hell did Bulin see that?
  20. the Os are overjoyed to get that line from anybody
  21. i really, sincerely doubt it. they might be able to steal 2, but likely will be outplayed nearly all series. the ducks haven't a prayer either of coming back in the series. you'll see something like 5-1 tonight.
  22. wait i don't see ty cobb in the box score
