  1. 60 goals in his last 81 games, playing primarily on a line with Kunitz and Pascal Dupuis. amazing. Stamkos instead gets St. Louis feeding him passes he's masterful in the faceoff circle too, and has really improved his defensive play, he's the best player in hockey
  2. That's some kind of insane excuse. Why does Burleson care about attendance? Is there a bonus in his contract if the Lions draw a certain number of fans? Does part of his job involve working in marketing? He said some stupid [expletive] now, just like he said stupid [expletive] on the Seahawks. Burleson didn't do this because of the Lions...he did it because he wants those cameras to be pointed at him. Burleson's on the radio every single week having to say the same exact [expletive], "trust us, we're improving, we're working hard, best days are ahead of us, future is bright" for like 3 straight months. he's not specifically worried about attendance, but he talks to all the same fans calling up asking the same questions, trying to inspire hope or confidence, it's the same dumb rigmarole repeated ad nauseum easy to figure why he felt like mixing it up every team in the avenue of professional sports has idiots who say things they can't back up. willy taveras said he was going to steal 100 bases last year, that's just indicative of him being an over-confident athlete rather than emblematic of some collective franchise-wide divorce from reality or whatever the [expletive] your dumb ass narrative actually is
  3. even for you, this is just the dumbest [expletive] ever think about it, it's not like the Lions have a great success at drawing fans, they have to halfway figure this is some innocuous way of instilling a modicum of interest into otherwise meaningless affairs it's pretty [expletive] weird to catalogue a list of it though
  4. well, this does lend credence to the secret agent theory
  5. hm, i wonder if he injured his finger during the same play a Patriot tried re-breaking his arm
  6. well this just made my [expletive] day
  7. if you dilute the pool by using the arbitrary qualifier "all-around" LB then Briggs obviously fares better, but i'm not sure what purpose that serves for the argument are Harrison and Ware's roles that much different than that of Matthews, Wake? none of these guys are really asked to do much in coverage, for good reason: they terrorize QBs (and RBs)
  8. currently?, Timmons, Willis, Hali, Wake and several other arguables
  9. i think we probably give up at least 28 pts this week
  10. getting Avril back last week is great is great for our chances, as he's our best pass-rusher and him lining up against Webb should be one of our best mismatches i hope Cutler targets Smith early & often after the awful game he had on Thanksgiving, i like his chances of a rebound game and getting a pick i think we'll lose obviously, because we're still too undisciplined, but we'll keep it close and have a fake rally in the closing minutes like we do every week
  11. oh, i fully hope he can inflict his idiocy on another poor, unsuspecting franchise
  12. this bears-eagles game is hellish to listen to, mornhinweg vs. marinelli and the announcers are going to praise whichever idiot is succeeding on a given play
  13. Hill without a doubt is better than those scrubs
  14. just kill me now
  15. interesting concept, trying to challenge a turnover
  16. or special teams
  17. it'd be cool if cashner had stayed dominating AAA to build up top-20 prospect value and we could try combining him with wells, colvin
  18. simply having your hands on the facemask isn't a penalty, Barber's head didn't get twisted at all until Suh tugged on his reins
  19. neither, he had a momentary ineffectual grip but nothing warranting a penalty, he let go before pulling
  20. this blown call really killed us, going from a 3rd and 11 to a 1st and 5 enabling them to then go up two scores this happens all too often, pretty discouraging
  21. wow, Texans secondary
  22. Patrick Peterson, come on down!
  23. so you can horsecollar from the side now, too?
  24. we just lost a fumble-return TD due to another shitty call of forward progress we can't beat them and the refs edit: they finally cashed in on their 9th or whatever goal line play
  25. Suh just got called for horse-collar for dragging Barber down by his dreads edit: Pereira just freely admitted we got screwed there
