  1. i'm really impressed by that, considering the caliber pitching we've faced: Strasburg Gio Gonzalez Zimmermann Marcum Narveson Gallardo Greinke Wainwright that list is a veritable murderer's row
  2. love that sour grapes cross-check after the goal; so perfectly Vancouver
  3. man, Henrik Sedin keeps aimlessly pacing back and forth behind the net, no doubt looking for Daniel out there
  4. with no glaring needs, Lions opt to take a flier on the BPA, CB Josh Robinson, UCF raw, but he has the athleticism to force his way into a starting role with some development http://today.ucf.edu/files/2011/07/josh.jpg
  5. considering his glove, Shea Hillenbrand
  6. Starlin held his glove there and assumed it'd just go in there
  7. Torreyes with rare showing of secondary skills...XBH and a BB, and playing SS
  8. um, i guess i badly botched my point (was watching football at the time) that was more meant that we didn't lose any players of major significance (returning three starters and the two we're losing were routinely mismatched athletically and get replaced by five-star types) point well remains that putting UI over UM next year is homer-ish lunacy
  9. wonder what Casey Blake is up to these days
  10. What if that "somebody better" isn't on the market, or is ridiculously overpriced? And why give up prospects for a guy then when you can potentially negate that need now without giving up prospects? listen, we'll get through the loss of Andrew Cashner together...
  11. slotting a 6-12 team losing their best player over B1G champs returning all five starters and adding a consensus top-10 freshman class, makes perfect sense
  12. Dickie V has MSU #2 overall https://twitter.com/#!/DickieV/statuses/187051417360531456
  13. his 8.02 ERA last year certainly supports that

  15. real nice of Nyjer to call off Corey Hart to take the stress out of that one

  17. More importantly, why are players fleeing the program? What is that, 4 or 5 this offseason? The Burndidge (or however you spell it) transfer is kind of weird from the outside. He's from Michigan and had to know this was a possibility. Unless he completely hated it there or hated Beilein, why not wait a week to see if he would be the starting PG on a top 25 team? it didn't seem like much of a possibility at the time that Burke was going to declare. i think Brundidge just felt he wasn't going to see much more PT than he did this year pretty bad situation, though; Burke gets to join Darius Morris in the D-League on the heels of (imo) really bad advice
  18. were i Hoyer, i'd be calling Anthopoulos after every good start of Demp's; "so, you catch our game today? Dempster went seven 1-hit, for what it's worth..."
  19. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2V_ZVhgHzI
  20. [expletive], Trey to declare
  21. godless chucker
  22. that makes it three of the five '11 draftees all in one offseason
  23. 23) Lions Stephon Gilmore is a big-bodied CB who'd be a good replacement for the departed Eric Wright http://cdn2.sbnation.com/entry_photo_images/3290638/20120228_ajw_ss1_234_extra_large.jpg
