  1. Valbuena, you boob, at least jog that out a little well, guess it doesn't matter now
  2. Hendricks came in the Dempster deal, right? i'll say him for sure since it's safe to say the FO probably saw something in him specifically they liked and he fits in better with the 'controlling the strike zone' mantra they've wanted to enact edit: found a pretty cool article on him (from yesterday) by Arguello http://www.chicagonow.com/cubs-den/2013/05/sleeper-prospect-kyle-hendricks-opening-some-eyes/
  3. we must have felt guilty, to just let Seabrook walk in like that
  4. Dioner Navarro's alone in 2nd place for team HRs
  5. well i guess that's a potential benefit of bunting right there
  6. He had a ton of K's in ST I know and they supposedly attributed it to a new pitch/approach. Clearly another example of ST stats being meaningless April: 9% Ks May: 26% Ks pretty weird
  7. is the wind really swirling or is Viciedo just that comical out there in left?
  8. it's the walks and the strikeouts; think of even the hackiest, flailingest pro you can think of and they very likely both exhibited more patience and made more consistent contact at Baez's age than he has been doing
  9. the way he's usually been described has sounded to me like Troy Glaus
  10. i liked the idea of a Dom Brown trade as an upside play, but reports were we were the ones who didn't want him he's also taken as many walks as Castro this season and UZR hates him: -19 UZR/150 in the OF for his career he's basically Delmon Young if he doesn't start taking more walks again
  11. Lawrie hurt again with no room left in the infirmary so i put Weeks in my lineup bc what does it really matter this week
  12. for the past month, 5 of our top 7 hitters are pitchers http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=bat&lg=all&qual=0&type=8&season=2013&month=3&season1=2013&ind=0&team=17&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=16,d collectively, they have a .569 SLG during that span

  14. the fourth NO! in that clip really makes it
