    people saying this would've been an all-timer classic SB without the holding call are really overselling it, the Eagles were playing boring rugby most of the night, 17 play/60-yard drives should not be anyone's ideal football experience i'd also really love a moratorium on "nobody believed in us" speeches after Kelce's constant idiotic ranting and all of the UGA stupid hissy fits about everybody thinking they'd lose 4-5 games, no they didn't, none of that happened, please have some self awareness people

    yeah consider me bearish on bat-first .400 SLG guys in general, i probably wouldn't try to find a place for someone like that in a top 150

    lol i remember doing big-time devil's advocacy for Junior Lake, nice to see a classic trope of unfounded optimism revived to help spring some much needed false hope here re Morel, he had the lowest zone contact rate in baseball last year, worst mark in 5+ years (though funny enough 2018 Ian Happ was 2nd-worst) which is probably a pretty bad sign

    because of the career year Just from 20-21 he was 34th in WAR, still ahead of Trout and Devers, also ahead of Nolan Arenado, Sean Murphy, Jose Altuve, Yordan Alvarez, Brandon Nimmo, Trevor Story, etc. yeah he had anomalously high value from baserunning & fielding efficiency, pretty reminiscent of a former Braves standout our offense is still very likely quite worse than an already pitiful offense from last year despite now spending pretty significant money from an artificially tight budget

    The farm system is most definitely better than average, whatever average even is. I’m the low guy on the mainstream coverage too, but it’s as deep and talented as anyone’s To use Fangraphs' rankings for ease of use, the Cubs are 5th in overall value, 5th in number of 50 FV or greater prospects, and 9th in average value of ranked prospects. they're probably absurdly high on most of our farm, most notably they rate Cristian Hernandez/James Triantos/Owen Caissie top 100 prospects despite there being little to justify it i'd sincerely bet other respected evals that start to trickle in have us way more in the #12-18 range
