    my assumption is that it doesn't reflect well that he's relatively really poor with a decent lead, but great in garbage time but i guess others might read into it differently

    i sort of hate the idea of trading Castillo unless it's for an immediate clear upgrade Ross just locks you in to having a bad player for 50 games and/or Montero being required to over-extend himself again

    Friedman put up with a .250 slugging percentage from Tampa's catchers last year to utilize their defensive skills; i'd be surprised if he values Beef very highly

    Neither do I. I don't see how a cumulative 1.2 WAR over the past two seasons for a 31 year-old catcher on the decline warrants 3/40 PLUS prospects. steamer projects him for 3 WAR

    i'm sure he'll still end up signing somewhere for 6/150 think about the Joel Sherman report of the Yankees having no internal discussions about him and then suddenly they're in the mix as a team you don't want to count out, it all transparently reeks of Levinson trying to drum up fake interest to get some dumb team to panic and go 7 years and the teams involved are probably too smart to fall for that game
