    I wonder why the Cubs weren't in on Gausman? Controllable until 2021, acquisition cost was minimal, and he's been really good for the Braves.

    My friend who lives in Houston and is a huge Astros fan wrote me a few weeks back tell me how great Hector is, and wondering why the Cubs give up on him. I told him “just wait.” Today he emailed me and said I see what you mean. He’s blown like 5 saves in 15 chances. On the other hand, Cahill has been really good this year. Pitched a gem today.

    Mostly pretty boring - Pelo Fino is my favorite other than of course El Mago (and Herbie made me laugh) Pelo Fino is great, he kinda has that Billy Dee Williams thing going on with his hair. And agree on Hancock, hilarious. Hendricks should be "Carl" -- isn't that what the team calls him?

    Nah, Italians are fine as long as they get back to [expletive] Hill by dark. edit: profanity filter took out a derogatory term for Italians that is the name of a section of St. Louis that was historically an Italian ghetto and is known for its many Italian Restaurants today. Although now it is advertised and celebrated as "The Hill" it had always been Dxxx Hill. "Dxxx" is where Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola grew up. and Harry Caray too, correct?

    Kris went on a 3-1 count against Rizzo, it was ball 4, but the catcher threw to second anyways. Because of the shift, the thirdbaseman came over to back up the throw, meaning nobody was covering third, so Kris just ran to third. Thanks. Gameday said he stole 2nd and even had him on 2nd in the graphic so I was lost.
