    OK, to me those numbers are pretty similar. A few more walks, RBI and hits for Harper in more ABs. Right? What am I missing?

    I told a colleague this year at the beginning of the year that Schwarbs and Harper would be essentially the same player. He said my argument was ludicrous.     It was so tantalizing seeing what Morrow could be though. I remember one game he came in in a tough spot with 2 outs in the 9th — he threw three straight unhittable 101 mph fastballs to end the game.

    i gotta tell ya, the fact that the brewers and cardinals also suck does absolutely nothing for me anymore Totally agree with this, because who cares if the Cubs win the division? They've shown no reason for us to be optimistic they can do anything in the postseason. If they are going to get waxed by the Braves or whomever in the first round, who really cares?

    Watching the Yankees-Rockies game just now. The Yankees had a catcher’s interference that was so blatant Sanchez was shaking his glove in pain from hitting the bat. Ump didn’t call it.

    Nova’s approach seems to work really well against these Cubs hitters. With both him and Kyle pitching, this could be a very quick game

    One of the funniest CYE episodes ever was in NY when Larry David threw Buck a ball and of course he fumbled it.

    I remember being totally bummed about Bill Madlock being traded away, and then Buckner showed up and quickly filled that void for me. Loved watching him hit -- the crazy thing was he basically never struck out
